Description: A warm, rich interior featuring Mahogany paneling & Persian rugs, RL Restaurant houses an art collection that reflects & represents a lifestyle vision of quality, integrity & timelessness - the design & cultural aesthetic of Polo Ralph Lauren. The menu is written daily with core items, some prepared tableside, which reflect the Ralph Lauren "aspirational lifestyle." The food is not based on how exotic the chef can appear with his creativity, but on how finely tuned & balanced are his compositions -- renditions of ideas that have a history on the American Table. ****Please note that reservations are for dining room only. Bar and Patio are first come first serve.******

The food was excellent. Scallops. Pappardelle with vegetables. Both soups. All good.

Service was great in the bar. A newbie waiter was so-so, but the staff is clearly classy.

It was crowded on a Sunday night. Mostly a 40s/50s crowd.

There's something so Lauren about the atmosphere at Ralph Lauren...the food is average, but the service and fellow diners is really special. If you can, land one of the far corner tables. The people watching is fab. The table at the fireplace in the bar area is divine as well, however, you will feel the chill of the door opening. Recommend the hamburger and fries. The bar area is lively. The location is to the right side of the store off of Michigan Avenue. Reservations are recommended or dine early - 11:30 am prior to lunch hour or no later than 6 pm for dinner.

My 2 teenage kids and me had a lovely dinner there last night. We arrived around 9 pm without a reservation and were nicely greeted and seated inmediately. The place was full but it felt perfect, not loud or over crowded.

Crisp white tablecloths and napkins, which is always great to have. Nice food (we only had 2 wonderful Ceasar Salads, Goat Cheese & Caramelized Onion Tart, which was a bit salty for me, and a delicious Creme Brulee).

Extraordinary service and beautiful decoration .... We had a lovely dinner and would love to go back.

Every visit to Chicago always includes a lunch at RL. It is the place for superior food and people watching. We always see a celebrity or two. Classy upscale but not stuffy. Some of the best servers in the business work here. It's crowded and sometimes a little loud but also a lot of fun to dine here. I have never had a bad meal at RL! We have been eating here for years at least five to ten times a year! Truely one of our favorites in the city.

We walked in on a very busy Sunday afternoon, but the staff handles the traffic very well. We found a table in the bar and ate there, and had a great lunch of salad and soup. The bartender took great care of us, and their staff is very attentive. I would like to go back for dinner, as the menu looks good. Next trip. :)
