Great food and wonderful service. The atmosphere is not that appealing coming off the escalator from the Mall into the restaurant. Price for lunch was very reasonable for the stature of this restaurant. My biggest surprise was the overall atmosphere wasn't all that great.

Wife and I indulged ourselves in a superb tasting menu with wine pairing dinner on a lovely summer Friday evening. The service was impeccable, with cool views of Michigan Ave. The dishes were a work of art and flavors.....not your typical Italian fare in the least, but that's what made it so special. favorite dishes were the ravioli with fois gras, rhubarb and sunchoke, beef carpaccio with uni pate ( like velvet in your mouth) and the wagu beef. The wines selected truly complimented the food. The bread was soooo good, we had to find the local bakery the next day and take home a big chunk. Not for the faint of heart when the bill comes, but worth the splurge.

Just returned from a birthday celebration weekend in Chicago and have to rave about the amazing experience we had at Cafe Spiaggia. Not only was the food absolutely amazing from start to finish, but the entire staff went out of their way to make our experience one of a kind. Chef Joe is incredibly talented and personally helped make our evening one of our best in the city. His culinary expertise is not to be missed on a trip to the Windy City. Thank you Chef Joe and the rest of the staff at Cafe Spiaggia for an amazing evening.

My husband had been here years ago and remembers his dinner still. I went with a friend while in town over my birthday. Lovely service, lovely food. Sommalier had to help with wine choice because the wine/drink menu is like 35 pages long -- she made a great choice. Delightful little extras, meal and desserts were fabulous. Spend the money, you only live once :-)
