“Nice, Energetic Place!”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

We made an early reservation (6:15PM) on a Saturday night. Very surprised to see how busy the restaurant was. There was a reason. Seated on the first floor adjacent to a large window which gave us a nice view outside. Martinis were great, simple stuff...but the bartender got it right! The waiter left the shakers at the table with an additional half drink in them. I absolutely hate to pay so much for a martini and only get half a drink...not at Ditka's though! Filet mignon was excellent, ordered medium and came out perfect, side of spinach and mushrooms was super. Busy restaurant, mixed crowd of families and business diners, couples and large groups. Waiter (Andy) was outstanding...no rush, courteous and very helpful. This restaurant was a great choice for dinner and prices were reasonable for the level of quality. We would go back anytime.

“Great Bloody Mary's”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

The Bloody Mary's alone are worth the visit! Practically a meal in itself, with a skewer of fresh shrimp, among other things, the Bloody Mary is served with a beer chaser! We love the Downtown location just across from the John Hancock Building. The staff is always great!

“Good food on a cold evening”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

While the restaurant was not on our list, it was connected to the hotel and we did not want to go out in the storm. It turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. My pork chops were great and my wife had small plates. The service was good. The bartender did not know how to make a Negroni cocktail and with directions made a very serviceable one.

“Food was good, but price not :(”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

Food was good but you are defintely paying for the Ditka name not just the food. If you order a steak it doesn't come with a side. My wife and I ordered two steaks, waiter told us that the sides were enough to feed a whole table. We ordered Aspargus for $8 that came with 18 piece of Asparagus. Was not impressed. Steak was good but not work the hefty price tag. Yes it is Chicago and it is near Michigan Ave, but you are also paying for the Ditka name.

Service was sub par as well. Waiter was rude and pompous. Skip this steakhouse, to many other ones in the city with better value and service.
