I ate 3 hot dogs while I was in Chicago and this one was the best! I was a little disappointed that when I returned a few days later so my husband could try the hot dog they had run out of them, but I understand that can happen. They are also only open until 4pm.

I always get the blt here - lots of bacon, tons of shredded lettuce, tomato, and your choice of tasty breads. Soups are also good and the value for money is great.

A friend and I stopped in for lunch one day and had great sandwiches and soups. It was not crowded, the service was fast and friendly and the food was great. The chicken noodle soup was thick, rich and hearty....tasted like my grandmother's homemade soup. I also had a turkey sandwich - everything was wonderful.

Headed over at 1 pm for a sandwich and chat outside the office. They had a good crowd, but there was no line to order. I had #11 Big E (the beef sand), it was HUGE and EXCELLENT!!

Please see my blog at http://talesfromtheroad-mwalno.blogspot.com/

The bread was amazing, the beef was thinly sliced and great, and the mozzarella cheese melted just right, smothered in tasty beef gravy (it also had a marina sauce that it didn't need).......and it was HUGE. I did not need to finish it, but I did.

It is a nice place to have a conversation also, comfortable with many other full tables, but quiet enough to have a private chat.

This is also the home of the Original Rainbow Cone.........you HAVE to try that (even though I have not yet).

#11 Big E $5.00
Combo $1.89

Total - $8.79
