Great little bistro you must try. Just minutes from the loop, parking, valet available. Excellent menu and wonderful service.Table are never rushed and the ambiance is lively and inviting. Enjoy some of their buttery escargots or the tasty cassoulet follow it with a dessert soufflé and all this can be yours for only $27.95 any Tuesday night at their Prix Fixe. Stopped in and had no idea this deal was offered that night which was a great surprise. Loved every bite and took some of my cassoulet home. Have been here before a year ago or so and I will come back again much sooner, it was delicious!!

Marvelous service, both cordial and non-intrusive; the best Dover sole in town, comfortable place to visit with friends and family.

We went to the West Loop location for the second time on Oct 3rd. We had an event so we ate early-very early. We just a few appetizers to get more flavors.

We had the mussels which my wife adores. We split Tarte Flambée Alsacienne which was Flatbread w/ Onion, Bacon, Olive Oil which was delicious! But the star of the evening foie gras d with truffles. It was rich and buttery and delicate, unlike that of an ordinary duck or goose liver.

The server was top notch-he was helpful on the menu and the wine. We're both partial to French restaurants.

We celebrated our anniversary and as always, La Sardine delivers....attentive server, fabulous foie gras, sensational sole meuniere for two and Grand Marnier soufflés with "happy anniversary" written in chocolate on the plates. Because it was a Monday, we enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine at half price.

Love this restaurant: convenient location, great classic French bistro food (oh, those steak frites!) comfy ambience, and friendly, attentive (ie, not snooty French) American servers. Full bar, good, reasonable wines, and ample range of menu options. The sweetbreads were perfectly done, the seafood succulent, the salads lovely, and the desserts to die for. If you don't order a dessert souffle early, you could still be entirely satisfied with the delicious, imaginative ice creams: the strawberry-basil was my fave.
