“Amazing brunch spot!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

Every time I go to Chicago I try to stop at Lula for a delicious brunch or meal. It's well worth the wait for a creative, fresh approach to classic dishes. I also appreciate the range of moderately priced to "splurge" options on the menu. The desserts are not to be missed, so save room! Love Lula!

“A True Chicago Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

This restaurant embodies everything that I love about the Chicago dining scene, and is arguably my favorite restaurant in the city. Everything on the menu is exquisite, in both taste and presentation. I also love the intimate, yet modern feel to the space itself.

Bottom line, if you are visiting Chicago and are looking for the real big city dining experience, get away from downtown and the chain restaurants and head to Lula in Logan Square. It's literally only a 15min train ride on the blue line from the loop, but is a million miles away from the tourist traps downtown. Trust me, you will not be disappointed

“A delight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

Two of us ate here, hoping to find modern, accessible cuisine. What greeted us was a great team of staff, a concise, but creative and well executed menu. Accompanied with a good wine list, well priced. We opted for sweatbreads, scallops, followed parpadelle and quail. Lovely. Each element of each dish could be tasted. The balance of flavours was well handled, and well balanced. Each mouthful delivered savoury, elegant flavours. Pairing some usual ingredients without pretence, but with the end result in mind. A lovely place to spend an evening, good atmosphere, and worth a trip out of the downtown for.

“BEST BRUNCH in a while!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

This place is simply amazing. I am not super fan of the hipster ambiance, but I needed to recognize that Bucktown/Logan Square in Chicago deserve a one day visit, and that Lula Cafe is THE place for brunch. Everything was great: the food tasted so good. We could notice fresh ingredients in our sandwiches and burritos: eggs, tomatoes, onion... Amazing! The waiter was spectacularly nice very attentive and well deserved a substantial tip. The cafeteria was beautifully decorated from the floor to the roof. I could not expect a better brunch. And the price, including orange juices and coffee, was relatively cheap... MUST GO!

“amazing food, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

One of the best meals we've ever had. About $20 cab ride from the top end of Magnificent mile hotel area, but worth it! Creative and delicious food combinations, nice atmosphere, fast and friendly service. We would definitely go back!
