Have been here a few times and it's always been quite good. Food and service have been consistently good. The location near the Opera House and both train stations is especially nice. The food at the banquet I attended wasn't as good as in the actual restaurant, but I suppose that's not unusual. Definitely recommended.

Took my customer here today, his choice. Seated in less than a minute, drinks in another minute, food in about 15. We were out the door all told in just about an hour.

Looks like it would be a happening after-work bar as well. No complaints, and the pulled pork roll was delicious. My customer commented that his Reuben was great as well.

Lloyd's is the best and the closest place to go for dinner if you are going to the Opera. They take reservations, and, they are used to the curtain times, and they have validated parking which allows you to park for about $7.50 instead of over $20 while attending the performance (call ahead to check on parking rates and directions to the correct garage).

That being said, the food is quite average although the service is good,

Meals and atmosphere are very nice as well as very very reasonably priced for downtown Chicago. Service quicy was overwhelmed as the opera crowd all arrived at the same time to eat before the show.

Started off bad when they sat us right by the door. We froze and so did half the customers. Seemed like half the customers were wearing their coat. We even asked to have the heat turned up but they did not. The food was not very good. Started off with a soggy salad and followed it with a soggy sandwich. I would not recommend this place for lunch or dinner. The drinks were terrible too.
