“The meat kept coming!”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

We hit the Fogo in Indianapolis and loved it, so we had to give the Chicago location a try. it was just as good. The salad bar, not that we went there for that, was very well stocked with deli meats, bacon, salmon, and all sorts of other goodies that could make a meal by itself. Then the servers started to bring out the slabs of meat to tables. All they did was cut off pieces of meat goodness all night. We ate ourselves senseless! The only thing I didn't care for was the sausage, but that's probably just a personal taste thing. It's a little pricey to go there often ($51.50 for dinner per person), but it's worth it! I can't wait to go back!

“Great tasting meat. Excellent salad bar”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Went with colleagues. Varieties of steak which are very tasty. Salad bar is very good. One of our colleagues was a vegetarian and he had salads by paying half price. Found the caipirinha in the bar very good.

“Food ok service kind of bad”
Reviewed December 26, 2013 via mobile

We never ate at a Brazilian steak restaurant before. It was an awkward start - menus with no prices or explanations. Meat was pretty good; mashed potatoes and Carmelized bananas yummy. We had an 18 month old with us and asked for our bill well in advance knowing he would be done. We waiting for 10 min for our bill; had money ready to go and still waited another 15 minutes before we got out change. When they brought us back change - it was incorrect - should have been $39 and got $29. We then had to flag someone down to explain we weren't slighting them on tip but didn't get all the change back. So we ende up being disappointed as the baby was now crying at this point :( not sure we will go back

“A meat lovers dream.”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

This was my second visit to Fogo de chao, the first was two years ago at their Scottsdale, Az, restaurant. So my wife and I knew what to expect. We dined with family who live in Chicago, and they chose this restaurant not realizing we knew what to expect.

This was a delicious dining experience. A meat buffet brought to your table. After a salad of choices from a central location, the grilled meat is brought to your table where you can chose the type of meat, and the level of "doneness". Very difficult not to overeat.
