Chicago has many good steakhouses. The Wildfire on W. Erie should not be overlooked. Open seating environment, but still comfortable with natural wood decor highlighted with black. The steaks were cooked to perfection.

Our family surprised our dad for his 70th birthday by bringing him here! We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and I dont believe we left a morsel on our plates. The atmosphere was warm and inviting & the wait staff was attentive.

The only challenges we ran into were the lighting/lack od acknowledgement for dad's 70th birthday. Lighting was Not exactly user-friendly for older people trying to read menus. I'd suggest candles on the tables vs having to pull out cell phone flashlights like we did.

Also, any other restaurant we've frequented, ALWAYS acknowledgesd birthdays. Whether its a free drink or small dessert for the bday boy/girl, it makes a huge difference in making them feel special. I know its not mandatory, but it speaks to service. It didnt happen here, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Overall, great time & we will definitely visit again.

We visited Wildfire in Chicago for a business dinner. You are immediately taken by the service. The waitstaff was always available, and the bus boy keep our glasses full, and our table clean.
They offer a full menu of steaks, seafood and other fare. I ordered the crusted rib eye, with salad and potato. The salad was all fresh ingredients. The potato was huge, but otherwise just a baked potato. The crusted rib eye was excellent, cooked just right, and very tender.I ordered dessert to go, apple pie a la mode. It indeed was a small pie, and was very tasty, with a good crust and fresh apples. When back in the area, this is a restaurant I to which I would definitely return.

We had a reservation through Open Table, and it was a good thing we did.
The restaurant was packed, and we arrived about 10 minutes late. As soon as we walked in, we were led to our table. Our Waiter was great, and had some suggestions for one of my sisters who needed the Gluten free menu. Our table was by the Kitchen, so we were very warm.
The food and drinks were great, and we had a good time
