“Don't forget to bring your sense of humour with you. ”
Reviewed April 22, 2014 via mobile

Simple good food and good fun.
The rudeness is all good natured, it isn't even really rude. Go with an open mind and you will have a laugh and get some food at the same time.

“unique atmosphere”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

The food is decent and typical 50s diner fare--burgers, fries, etc. They do have really good milkshakes and give you a lot. But the real reason to go is the wait staff. Their schtick is that they are sarcastic and crack jokes, often at the expense of the customers. As long as you are prepared, it can be fun. We took our 13-year-old daughter and her friend here, and they thought our waiter was hilarious. They both enjoyed the experience. If you're looking for someplace that's different and fun for kids, this is a good option. If you have someone in your group who doesn't enjoy sarcasm, you should find another restaurant.

“Fun place”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

Dined here with a group. They did a good job of getting food out quickly, but seating was tight. Meals were good, servers were fun and little sundae was cute.

“Not my kind of place”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

The food was good and that is the only compliment I can give. I went with friends and one of them had went there before and loved the place and wanted to go again. I was warned the staff was snarky but I hated it. I do not like paying to be talked to rudely. It is their theme but it was not for me. So don't count on being treated nice.

“Bubbles couldn't have been nicer (she didn't know why she was)”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

The restaurant is a classic. The service is legendary (scary but that's part of the fun) food was incredibly especially the sloppy joe. The wait was worth it what else you have to do? It's just an all around true Chicago place.
Make sure you ask for bubbles to be your server but don't tell her I said so! If the wait is to much
Try the counter. Bring earplugs you'll need them
