I have been dining at this restaurant for over 18 years. The food is always prepared fresh, even the soups are made to order, and the menu hasn't been too Americanized with all sorts of peanut sauce dishes and carrots and broccoli in every dish. The Basil Chicken or Pork is ground, flavorful, spicy, and authentic. The fried chicken is so crispy and delicate - to die for. The Tom Kha Kai soup is the best I've ever had and all the noodles are done just right. Wonderful duck dishes and fish cakes, too. And Fried Dried
Beef! Don't miss this affordable, authentic, and super friendly family-owned and run restaurant.

I been going to Siam for the last 8 years....My favorite dishes are papaya salad (spicy with crab), fried chicken, dried fried beef, and sticky rice. That's really all I eat there. My friend's love the pad kee mao beef. The price is reasonable. The staff are all very nice. They also deliver as well.

Siam noodle and rice is a hidden gem in the uptown area of Chicago. They have been here forore than 20 years and the family friendly restaurant does not disappoint. I have probably tried everything on their menu in the past 20 years and every entree is amazing. Do you like spicy, you can get it spicy. Do you like mild, you can get it mild. Family run, friendly. Meat friendly, tofu friendly and everything Thai. You will enjoy your ample portion without feeling robbed. Highly recommended for casual outing and they will make room for groups, just call ahead. After 20 years, they know who I am by my order.

Siam Noodle and Rice is one of the best Thai restaurants in Chicago if you want the real taste of Esan (Northeastern) Thai food. They have all the local favorites like Som Tom spicy papaya salad, grilled beef salad, larb (minced) pork, grilled chicken and of course sticky rice. The food is quickly prepared and nicely presented. The manager is a very friendly guy who'll provide recommendations from their extensive menu.

The decor is very basic, but it doesn't matter because the food is so delicious. This is a cozy and welcoming restaurant and there are a wide variety of interesting clients as well.

The main downside to Siam Noodle is that it's in the 'uptown' neighborhood, which has a deservedly bad reputation for street crime. But it's on a main street with plenty of traffic and I've been there many times with no issues at all. So, don't let the location put you off. This place is really worth a try.

Oh, it's BYOB too, which really makes it an exceptional value.

Every weekend I will drive 20 miles to eat this scrumptious thai food, that should say enough for this hole in the wall place. We tried it for the first time because we were in the area and were hungry and that was 2 years ago. SInce then we have never looked back.
Its obviously family run. Food is flavorful and fresh and the place is squeaky clean. We love the pad ki mao, Indian fried rice, Panang curry for the main dishes and the papaya salad and fried tofu for apps. The chicken wings are a must as well. The service is quick and attentive. The price is unbeatable main dishes 6-8 dollars. The decor is dated but then we don't come here for the ambience we come here for the warm hospitality and the ridiculously good finger licking food.
