Located on a tree-lined street just off Michigan Ave. (aka Magnificent Mile), my husband & I stumbled on this place for a delicious late morning breakfast.
The service is very good, with linen tablecloths, black pants/white shirted servers. Definitely not a run-of-the-mill breakfast spot. However, considering it's elegant appearance, the prices are competitive with the casual breakfasts spots nearby.
My husband ordered a breakfast skillet which was gigantic. Steak (and not a bad cut, but a very meaty, tender cut), veggies, potatoes, egg & cheese - he was filled until dinner! And he's a marathon runner, so he typically consumes 6,000 calories a day. It says something when a single dish fills him for 8 hours.
I ordered a croque madame, which was delicious as well. Very satisfying & also filled me for an entire day of walking & sightseeing.
I would definitely stop in again for breakfast/brunch when we're next in Chicago.
