Some friends ( 2 adults and two teenage boys) went with my wife and I to this restaurant we had heard about for brunch. Grandma's J's serves both breakfast and lunch. This is a very casual and laid back place where the photo's and furnishings are very eclectic. The photo's on the wall are from her Swedish grandmother.Located at 1552 N Kedize about two doors down from North Avenue. Parking may be the only hassle you will find. “Cool place”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

- value for money
- food quality
- natural, fresh and organic ingredients
- recycled decor (reuse concept)
- creativity

- cash only
- location
- poor service
- no skim milk but I'm ok with coconut milk
- limited brunch options specially on the sweet side

It's located in a rough area. And it's far away from everything. We took 2 buses and the blue line.
It has a nice decor based on recycling and reusing. Basically they collected tons of items and they put it together. It's very interesting and cool.
I had some eggs with prosciutto and greens. And I also had the French toast stickers. Everything was good.
The lunch sandwiches looked very yummy and fresh.
