When I first moved to Chicago, this was one of the first places I was taken to. I was so overly consumed with the "Bean" and the other art around this park. Since my move, two different sets of family members have visited and both have been taken to this park. The general consensus is that it is in fact "cool" and "unique" but otherwise once you've seen it, and taken a photo (or 15) there isn't really much to do. I've taken my very artsy friend here from NC and she was over the park in about 20 minutes and I've been here with a friend, her mom, and her child from FL and they again thought it was cool, but found it pretty boring after a few minutes. Don't plan to spend more than 15-20 minutes here, otherwise it is nifty at first.

What an asset to the city, love the "Bean", love the gardens to walk around, love the bridge to the Art Institute. I am sorry we missed the free summer concert, hopefully next visit with work.

This park is beautiful. It has a great atmosphere and a million different places that you could find a photo op to send back home!
It's lovely being in such a green, lush environment and being able to look up to see the high rise city buildings. The park itself has hundreds of sculptures and little quirky additions to keep everyone interested. It would be a great place to visit in summer if you have kids as there is a huge water fountain area which changing faces, would keep them entertained (and cool!) for hours.
In summer, there are free concerts on the weekend on the 'great lawn' and of course it is home to the giant silver 'bean'!

Every night there seemed to be a different free concert. The stage is amazing with seating and plenty of lawn space. Lots of locals not just tourists. Went running there in the mornings as well, beautiful gardens. Very safe and clean.
