A beautiful and historic fountain which is a nice stop when walking in the Millenium Park. Dont' go out of your way to visit it, but you will probably run across it when in the loop.

Shooting water more than 90 feet up in the air, no visitor to Chicago should miss the fountain. Not only is the fountain beautiful, but it is right on the lake front between the art institute and the field museum and very close to Michigan Ave. Make it part of your trip to just hang out a little here.

How could you be in Chicago in the summer and not visit Buckingham Fountain? Spectacular display, complete with lights in the evening. Visible from Lake Shore Drive or strolling in the park.

Buckingham Fountain is one of those places you see as a child as something that is bigger than life and when you return 30 years later you cannot seem to find it and when you do you think it shunk! This fountain is one that I returned from Europe to America to find. It is located right near the Lake at Grant Park. Buckingham Fountain is HUGE and a Chicago landmark one should not miss.. During the hot days, children cool their feet and love to feel the spray of water hit them when the breeze is right.

It is awesome, and one of the sites you need to see, but in warmer weather of course. You can see the lake from the fountain and it's a great place for pictures, sitting and people watching. Great place also to eat food from The Taste Of Chicago in July
