Terrific place to stay but bar is lacking badly. Long time bartender Steve no longer works there. New bartender spent so much time talking to his buddy that I waited with an empty glass far too long. I decided to try again on second night but they were out of their best two draft beers. How do you fail to have proper stock on a weekend? I had to go to Holiday Inn for a drink!

Rooms are roomy, clean and great service. Pool, whirlpool, exercise room and sauna are excellent. Great transportation to airport. Jus sad I had to frequent a Holiday Inn for food and drink

Clean, good-sized room with huge bathroom. Lobby was very nice and the location was ideal for traveling. I flew into O'Hare, shuttled to the hotel and was on a train headed downtown with no stress. The blue line station is right there! That's a good thing, because there is little to see or do close to the hotel. The staff was pleasant and eager to help including setting me up with a lock box behind the front desk in lieu of a safe in my room.
We did have a little trouble with the parking garage once we had a vehicle there. The automatic gate gave us trouble both times upon departure and I would recommend using the kiosk between the lobby and garage to prepay ur parking before leaving.
I would happily stay there again anytime I was flying in or out of Chicago.

Close to Ohare. Free shuttle. Lovely rooms with light woods. Quiet rooms. Spacious shower. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Have the pancakes with fresh blueberries. Short ribs were fantastic. Only shortfall is they seem short staffed at the front desk.

We travel regularly from Europe to the NW USA and back and we were looking for a better way to manage jet lag. Chicago is an attractive stopover because the most interesting downtown spots can be visited in one day. The Renaissance O'Hare is an attractive hotel to spend a couple of nights because:
- it is near the airport with a shuttle service (need to call however)
- room rates can be attractive for a hotel of this standard (look for special rates during certain periods)
- it is very close to the CTA station with a direct line to downtown
- with windows closed noise from the road and air traffic was not a problem (I had asked for a room away from the traffic)
I took a star off the hotel rating for two reasons: the bed comforter had been ruined presumably by improper washing/drying. The down was compacted and no longer had any warmth left in it. Room service told me to use a blanket instead (no replacement available). The second reason was the wifi scam. It is free only in the lobby (no warning). If you're not careful when connecting you are signing for an additional $12 on the bill.
Apart from that jet lag was much less of a problem during this trip.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the opposite side to the traffic.

A professionally run business hotel. Rooms are spacious with separate bedroom and living room with large desk. The Cumberland Blue Line station is right next to the hotel. It is a very safe 5 min walk from the hotel. 10min to O'Hare and 35-45min to downtown. Really nice if you don't have a car and don't want to pay downtown prices. My only negative comment is that it can be a bit noisy. Planes overhead as they approach O'Hare, L trains going by, and the freeway right next to the hotel. It's not terrible but I found earplugs helpful.
