Searched for halal restaurants for a lunch downtown and Taza was one of the options. Decided to try it out due to the positive reviews. If you are interested in strictly great food and not worried about decor or ambience, then this is your place. Ordered the chicken schwarma sandwich meal deal which came with a fountain drink and 2 pieces of falafel. Served on a paper plate and the silverware is plastic, but the food was authentic and flavorful. Staff was very kind and friendly. Would definitely go back. Looking forward to trying the kefta next time.

We were walking around the Loop and wanted a simple but decent meal. We stopped into Taxa and chose the vegetarian platter and Greek salad. The food comes on styrofoam plates and the place is a bit short on atmosphere. The food however, was surprisingly good. The falafel and tzatziki were excellent as were the grape leaves. The salads were very fresh and the veges were excellent. It was the perfect quick meal and the price was totally reasonable

We just moved into the neighborhood, so I decided to try the gyros at Taza. Nothing special. I've tried other things there and everything was just OK. Yes it was reasonable, but nothing that I would crave and just have to have.

Taza is a great find. My wife and I were looking for something different for lunch. I saw some reviews about Taza, and thought, could this place be as good as the reviews. The answer is yes. The food was very good [we had the falafel sandwich, an order of dolmeh(stuffed grape leaves), and the lentil soup]. The service was excellent and everyone is very friendly and helpful. We were very happy to have found Taza, and will certainly return in the future and recommend it to our friends. Great prices, great food, helpful and friendly service - what else could you ask for !!!
