After staying here twice, I have not been disappointed. Great refurbished boutique hotel that loves to tell the story that Al Capone stayed here back in the day. Convenient to attractions, downtown. Fun rooftop bar with great views. Staff is so friendly.
Rooms are a bit small but comfortable. They love pets here and the Lincoln park zoo is across the street with lots of grass. I will be back.

Stayed in the Hotel Lincoln in January 2014. Location is terrific. Easy walking distance to the many restaurants and bars in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Rooms were on the small side, but were clean and nicely appointed.

The rooftop bar was great. Enjoyed drinks there on Friday and Saturday night. Friday night was perfect, nice atmosphere, not overly crowded, soft music, and able to enjoy conversation with my wife, son and friends. Saturday night the rooftop bar was very busy with loud music. Popular spot with the younger crowd. Music wasn't overbearing, just not my style (56 years young).

The staff was professional and extremely courteous. Definitely will stay there again.

My son and daughter in law live in Chicago and wanted us to try the Hotel Lincoln on our next visit, which happened to be my birthday (Feb. 2014). We loved it. The hotel staff was outstanding and a big shout out to Glen who checked us in (adorable) and a huge shout out to Edgar who brought our bags to the room only to realize it was my birthday and brought us up a bottle of wine and wrote a warm note from both himself and Glen. WOW.....we were only in town one night so didn't get to visit the restaurant or bar on top floor but heard good things. Will definitely stay there next time we are in ChiTown.

Room Tip: We had a view of Lake Michigan on the 11th floor.....awesome!

We came back to The Lincoln for our sixth visit in the midst of the cold and snowy February, but the warmth exuded by Glenn at the front desk and the entire staff made us forget the weather. The hotel maintains its high standards, so rather than repeat all the compliments, I would suggest that the reader look at our previous reviews of The Lincoln on Tripadvisor. Thanks to the staff it is THE place to stay.

Room Tip: Lake View Junior Suite--looks over the park and the lake

The staff were all so nice during our stay at Hotel Lincoln - we never crossed paths with anyone rude. The rooms are small but cute, I love the decor from the chevron striped carpet to the leather nightstands with drawers lined in red. I enjoyed looking at all of the artwork that they acquire from estate sales and thrift stores. We had an excellent view of Lincoln Park as well as the lake. We were able to walk to a bar to hang out, a pizza pub to eat and there were many other options we just ran out of time to explore (like the pancake pantry around the corner). The coffee in the lobby at Elaines was wonderful, I recommend the macchiato. We also LOVED the spicy soy wings we enjoyed at the Lounge on the roof. All-in-all it was a great time and we would recommend this hotel to our friends and family or anyone who is a dog-lover (they accept pets)!!!

When I had a fire in my home recently, I needed a place to stay till I could get everything sorted out. I cannot say enough about how kind and wonderful the staff are at this hotel. I had intended to stay only one night, but everyone was so accommodating and helpful that it brought me back for the two weeks that I needed a place to stay. Specifically Glen, the manager at the front desk, Corey at the bar and Eric at the coffee shop all made my stay memorable and warm during one of the coldest weeks in Chicago.

The rooms are cozy and quirky, the restaurant is truly great and the location can't be beat, especially if you get a room with a view of the lake. Oh yeah, and one of the best roof-top bars in the city is right upstairs. There's a lot to love here. It's not a five star joint, so if you're expecting the stuffiness and meticulous decor of the Four Seasons, you will be sorely disappointed, but really -- the friendly staff, location and just right comforts of this place are just what's needed.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of Lincoln Park and the Lake.

The Hotel Lincoln is the best in Lincoln Park for sure. Updated and Modern with coffee house, restaurant & roof top bar. Room sizes are 'Compact' - barely big enough for a king bed. Clean and nice views over the park and zoo.
