“Great amenities, ok room”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

Love the STAFF, lobby, coffee bar, and restraunt. The J. Parker is the best rooftop in the city especially in the summer months! However, the room was tiny and in disrepair. My fiancé and I were looking to lodge guests here for our wedding but have now changed our mind. No amounts of swank and trendy can overcome this minor detail. Final word, yes to the staff, and amenities but no to the room! You can find a much more enjoyable room for less within a 2 minute bus ride or taxi.

Room Tip: If you stay, get a king suite and have it face the park.

This was our second visit to Hotel Lincoln, our son lives in the area and this is the perfect location to be close to him and very easy to drive or taxi to any of the downtown attractions. We had mentioned that it was our 40th anniversary and Glenn at the front desk, who we had met at our previous stay had arranged for a bottle of very nice red wine almost before we had sat down in our room. It was a very nice touch and it was nice to see a familiar and smiling face who has been vey helpful each or our visits. We have no need to find any other place to stay when we visit our son in Chicago and when our son gets married this next spring, we will probably make the Hotel Lincoln our home base for his wedding!

This is a great hotel to stay at in Lincoln Park. It is right around the corner from a couple of great pizza places, as well as right across the street from the Lincoln Park Zoo. There is an outdoor parking lot straight across the street for easy access to the hotel. Parking is $28 overnight, but you can leave your car there and go on foot down Clark or Lincoln. All of my experiences with the staff have been positive. They are extremely friendly. I have found discounted rates for this hotel on Jetsetter and Groupon for around $100 a night. It is a great place for an overnight getaway in the city. My wife and I have stayed in the standard king room, which doesn't have a ton of space, but the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is good for two. There is a rooftop bar, a coffee shop in house, and a hotel restaurant as well. This hotel has a ton of personality that you will enjoy from the moment you walk in the door. I definitely recommend it.

Very pleasantly surprised at this hotel. So much different (in a good way) from your traditional Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, etc. The front desk folks were fabulous, from arrival to departure. The room had that wonderful blend of rustic and modern. It was spacious and well designed. The roof top bar was fun and what a view. The restaurant downstairs (Perennial Virant) was terrific. Great farm-to-table food and service. Mmm mmm mmm. Overall, a terrific hotel.

Absolutely adored this place- everyone was really helpful and lovely. The coffee shop downstairs also had some great baristas who were very nice and made great coffee. The room was clean, had a beautiful view of the lake and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was close to a few shops if you needed groceries, and was in walking distance to some nice restaurants. Again, the staff were accommodating and helpful and it was overall a really great experience.

From the moment I called and made a reservation, to the moment I left, the customer service was astounding! The hotel has such a cool, eclectic vibe and the staff makes you feel entirely welcome and they genuinely seem excited that you are there. I had a coffee from Elaine's while relaxing in the super comfy lobby. Afterward, I meandered to my room which was beyond comfortable, and got ready to head out for dinner, The neighborhood is very cute and is teeming with cute boutiques and great restaurants & bars. On my day of departure, I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, J. Parker, and of course it was amazing! The food was great, the staff was great, and they had just decorated for the holidays so it was beautiful. All in all, the Hotel Lincoln was magical and I will be back!

Hotel Lincoln exceeded our expectations. The staff that greeted us from the entrance to the front desk and beyond were fantastic - helpful, courteous, and each one took his or her time to offer suggestions and answer our questions. We never felt rushed.

We had drinks in the restaurant, had coffee in the coffee shop and on our last morning, had an amazing breakfast also in the restaurant. Fine dining does not adequately describe our eating experiences and most definitely, this hotel will become our Go-To hotel when we visit Chicago several times each year. Thank you to Glenn, Isaiah, and everyone else who was on board from Saturday December 7 till we checked out on Tuesday the 10th. We had the warmest adventure despite the frigid temperatures!

Room Tip: We were on the 6th floor and had a phenomenal view to Lincoln and Wells Streets. highly recommend th...

Green Features: Clearly, Hotel Lincoln takes pride in its environmental campaign through its products and practices. The bathroom products were excellent and ones that I will seek for regular use. The shower water was always hot and forceful so no time was wasted.
