“Hotel Lincoln is outstanding!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2013

This was a great hotel for the weekend. A large group of us guys have a weekend getaway and booked a block of rooms here. It was a great central location and the staff was outstanding. It is a smaller hotel and very attentive to your needs. The rooftop bar is amazing to grab something to eat and/or drink. We got luck on Saturday morning there is a farmers market across the street in the park. We had fresh crepes for breakfast and really enjoyed out time in Chicago. We will be back again. The rooms are bigger than expected, clean, and service is great. Prices were a little better than expected for Chicago but still not cheap. Go and stay you will be glad you did.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the park and Lake Michigan.

I have been lucky enough to have stopped in this hotel on several occasions in the past.
My 1st visit was In April 2012 just after the hotel had opened. I returned in September 2012 when i was in the city to watch the White Sox. Again the hotel was brilliant. In December i booked the hotel via expedia and upon arrival i was treated really well by the staff who recognised me and held an extended conversation, then upgrading my room.
The hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly. The rooms are large and very spacious. Wifi is complimentary and the views of the Lake and Lincoln Park are brillaint.
There is a rooftop bar, which is good but the view isnt great as there are buildings blocking the overview.
I am not sure what the usual prices are as i have booked twice via hotwire and once via expedia. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is in Chicago and wants to stay away from the Loop/ Downtown Chicago.

I was in town for 1 night to get together with friends for our every 5 year fancy dinner. Most of my activities (Cubs game and dinner at L2O) were occurring on the North Side, so I wanted a home base near everything I was doing. The only hotel with rooms available in Lincoln Park (one month in advance) was the Hotel Lincoln. It was, what I’d consider, a fairly outrageous price. I’ve stayed in luxury hotels in Hawaii for less per night. That being said, it must be all about those three important things: location, location, location. It is right in the middle of everything and not too far from downtown. I loved the quirky nature of the hotel staff dress and the room appointments. I just felt as if the price was not worth these things. Maybe if I at least had a mint on my pillow or something, that would have been better. The rooms are small, the water pressure from the shower heads is awful. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again—there are low flow shower heads that have high water pressure. These are not mutually exclusive things. The staff were great. I was able to check in to my room early which helped with being able to freshen up before cheering on my Cubbies to another stunning defeat. The #22 bus goes up and down Clark Street to just about everything you’d want to do on the north side. Overall, a great place to stay, just a terrible value.

Room Tip: Road noise is a problem when facing the lake, but turn on the A/C and it will drown it out.

My visit started with an unexpected lobby unlike traditional staid hotels followed up by friendliest, most helpful staff I have ever come across. Are they really this nice? Room small but had all the essentials although satellite TV reception screwy. Didn't complain since it was 2 am when I turned it on. I loved the bathtub! Had a blast at the rooftop bar people watching and felt welcomed as a single woman. The wait staff were mindreaders and did everything I needed before I knew I needed it. Biggest issue was price and location for me. Huge convention in town so small room total cost low 300 for one night and I needed to be in the Loop. However, bus is nearby and $12 cab ride, including tip.

This retro chic boutique hotel was everything I was expecting and more. The staff were delightful and cheery. The coffee shop off the main lobby was a real treat, I loved that they had almond milk and not just soy for a dairy substitution. The rooftop patio was the place to be at night and can include a wait since they do not accept reservations. However, it is a great place to go even in the afternoon to enjoy the view and a few appetizers. The only thing that negatively impacted my stay aside from the single queen sized bed room being a wee bit too tiny, was the absence of a mirror outside of the bathroom in our hotel room. It made it difficult to get ready when one person was using the bathroom and the other had to wait in order to access the mirror inside, making for a cramped bathroom experience with two people getting ready in front of the only mirror. In some of the hotel room images I saw mirrors outside of the bathroom and am left wondering why ours was missing... strange. That aside, I had a great stay at Hotel Lincoln and would definitely recommend this hotel to others and stay there the next time I am in Chicago! (I will just make sure to get a larger room and one with a more than one mirror)

Green Features: The coffee shop cup and lids and the toiletry products provided in the hotel room were environmentally friendly. Love that hotels and food services are jumping on board and helping to minimize our waste impact.

First of all, staff members were insanely sweet and friendly, a special shout-out to Glen, who is a master of great service. The rooms might be on the smaller side, but who goes to Chicago to stay in the room the entire time? Fantastic location and everything is nearby! The lobby is very charming with an terrific coffee shop connected to it. The park right across from the hotel with the zoo located inside was such a treat! Make sure to take a look at the Polar Bear which I have named Bun. He is such a doll! I can't express enough how lovely this hotel is. Please go and enjoy. Say hello to Glen from me.

Room Tip: If it is possible to upgrade to a suite, I would take it!

The fun begins the moment you enter the lobby, to great color, surprising decor, and charming reception staff. Hats off to Glenn, one of the warmest, most genuine hoteliers I have ever come across. The location, on a summer weekend, cannot be beat -- across the street from the Lincoln Park Zoo and the Green City Farmers Market...and you can borrow a bike (with funky bike helmet) to explore the city. Room and amenities were good; bed a pleasure. And the view from the roof top bar is magical. Glad to have this new hotel on the scene.

Room Tip: Suites have many different configurations; ask to see different options if there are availabilities.
