Traveled to Chicago for my birthday and wanted to be near the Squared Circle. Location was perfect! Everyone from the valet to front desk to housekeeping was so nice! Glenn, the front desk agent, was the definition of customer service. He was beyond helpful with all my questions and even upgraded us to a park view room. The beds were super comfortable and for me to say that is quite the compliment. (I am a horrible hotel sleeper.) I could've stayed in the shower forever!! The shower head and water pressure were fantastic. Elaine's Coffee inside the hotel makes an amazing mocha as well. Wonderful place to stay in Chicago!

Let me be clear: that's a good funky, not a bad one. Hotel Lincoln has loads of character, excellent design choices, and a fabulous café on site. I stayed there while in town for the Chicago Improv Festival, as the hotel was a sponsor for the festival and provided participants discount rates for rooms. I'm so glad I chose to stay there! Very comfortable beds, great views of Lake Michigan, and very friendly staff. In fact, I celebrated my 30th birthday during my stay there and wanted to have a piece of cake before going to bed (late). They brought forks right away and made my night. Thanks Hotel Lincoln, I'll be back!

Hotel Lincoln is a very hip hotel, and an awesome place to stay. Super close to the legendary Second City comedy club, as well as lots of cool Lincoln Park locations. The staff was amazing and extremely accommodating. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms cozy, with inspiring views of the city. I can't say enough how helpful the staff is. Very different from your cookie-cutter corporate hotels. Definitely stay here. You'll have a blast!

i stayed here for 1 night (fri -> sat). very cute artsy-looking place! had a comedy performer discount of $99/night. i'm from NYC.

my room was 515 (right next to my friends' room 516 - they "shared" a corner). 515 was nice with 2 double-beds and nice bathroom (see pics), shower-head was that "nice, raining-on-you" type = weak water pressure, my TV didn't work tho. 516 was a true corner room with tons of sunlight and the 2 double-beds were semi-private from each other! but the bathroom was a bit smaller.

another friend had room 707 - 1 room with king bed, pull-out couch and 2 bathrooms! easily held a gathering of 8 people for hanging out.

rooms not soundproof - i could hear conversations decently thru the walls.

3 places to eat: rooftop bar, restaurant run by someone from "Top Chef", and breakfast cafe in the lobby.
- rooftop bar: i had a burger ($14) and a cocktail ($12) here. a little pricey but very posh! delish food and drinks! amaaazing views of Lake Michigan and Lincoln Park! there was an out terrace/garden too
- Top Chef restaurant: i didn't get a chance to eat here, but it looked really nice and i bet the food was great based on the other places
- lobby cafe: the basic drop coffee was so great! $8 egg white spinach and goat cheese crepe was DELISH and fresh! great place to grab a quick bite.

closest subway/metro is Sedgwick stop on the Purple line. it's a solid 10-15min walk from there (Second City Theatre is in btwn this stop and the hotel). FYI: Purple line doesn't run on the weekends. i took the subway from ORD - entire subway trip with 1 transfer from Blue line to Purple line just under 1.5 hours.

hotel staff very nice and friendly. feel free to ask me any questions!

Stayed 2 weekends in a row in March. Very casual, friendly and active. Small lobby with a great coffee shop adds to the liveliness. Get a room (fairly small) or junior suite with a view of the lake and Lincoln Park zoo. Drinks in J. Parker on the roof were well made and the view was spectacular. Perrenial Virant, the hotel restaurant, has fabulous food and drink. The Saturday breakfast was killer. The hotel is blocks from Old Town, Second City and manygreat little shops, bars and restraurants.

Room Tip: Lincoln Park and Lake View rooms have great view. Single rooms are smallish so if you are staying fo...

We live in a Chicago suburb. Decided to spend a night downtown this week. The Lincoln Hotel offered a special deal. One night stay and two tickets to Second City. What a great deal! We enjoyed a drink before the show at the hotel's rooftop bar - J. Parker. Awesome views of Lincoln Park, Lake Michigan and great cocktails. The next morning, we went for a long walk in Lincoln Park and along Lake Michigan. We'll stay at the Lincoln Hotel on our next visit. Glen (front desk) and everyone else at this hotel went out of their way to make our "too short" stay so enjoyable.

Room Tip: 0811 was great. Standard room with two double beds

We spent several nights at The Hotel Lincoln recently and I can recommend it highly for it's location, capable and friendly staff and the accommodations for visitors to Chicago. Having some distance from the hubbub of the Miracle Mile is a distinct advantage for those who prefer comfortable quarters and the opportunity to access Lincoln Park and the adjacent 17 miles of walking and biking paths fronting Lake Michigan. The park includes the zoo, a nature center and a wonderful botanical garden and glass houses for refuge from the weather coming from the lake. The hotel itself is well positioned, the rooms are pleasant and well equipped while not being overly fancy. Significant amenities include a terrific breakfast cafe, a respected restaurant at street level and a cool rooftop bar open year round. Views of Lake Michigan are available in some rooms and the rooftop quarters. You won't be disappointed.
