Great location, good service. Comfy bed with fluffy pillows (this is important to me!). The bathroom is amazing with a terrific city view, huge shower and luxurious bath. I loved the location - couldn't be better. Would stay there again!

Lovely modern Hotel in a great location. Reception/Concierge Staff were friendly, helpful and always greeted us with a cheery Bonjour! Unfortunately the same cannot be said for those at the Hotel Bar where on two out of three visits, the service was slow and dismissive.

Rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms were lovely with fluffy robes and towels, power shower, big bath tub and L'Occitane shampoo. The maids who serviced our room were excellent and the evening turn down service was a nice surprise.

Room Tip: A higher floor is better if you want a view of the Chicago skyline/Hancock Tower instead of directly...

I enjoyed a pleasant stay here last month. The location is excellent - close to great shopping, the Loop, and the subway. The highlight for me was the staff, who were very friendly and accomodating. Given the price of the hotel, I expected the rooms to be a bit more modern, though the bathrooms are luxurious. The gym is very small.

I stayed at the Sofitel for sevaral days during the IMTS show. Everything about this hotel made my week in Chicago so enjoyable-- which says alot considering it was a work trip wtih long hours at a trade show & late nights entertaining customers. The staff goes out of their way to make every guest feel welcome and special. The restaurant is very accomodating: I checked in at 10:30 am and wanted to grab a quick bite before heading to McCormick. Even though it was still 'breakfast', they made me an amazing salad. I had one night to myself and decided to stay in, hit their gym, and then order room service. All was a pleasant suprise! Gym had a few free weights along with the cardio. The room service was the best I've had in a long time! I 'customized' a meal and they were so accomodating. The rooms are beautiful too..and bathroom ameneties are awesome.

We recently stayed at the Sofitel Water Tower in Chicago. Straight away on arriving we were struck by the friendly vibe of the staff. We had come on a long flight from Australia and thier welcome was very welcome! The hotel is modern and located within walking distance of the main shopping precint. Its a few blocks from the Water Tower but close nevertheless. The rooms aren't that large but they are attractively and comfortably furnished. The air conditioning worlked well, we were ther in July and tempretures outside were in the high thirties (celsius). We had occasion to visit a doctor during our stay and the hotel were very good at putting us in touch with a doctor close by.

The hotel has a lovely restaurant, we went there for dinner and had our breakfasts in the restaurant. The restaurant particularly had a lovely light breakfast option. The restuarant has bright courtyrad off the resturant and a small bar.

Great location, great service, great ambience. Tres French. The feather bed mattress topper, combined with the high-thread count duvet, made for much better-than-usual hotel sleep experiences, which was wonderful. The bathroom was opulent...almost as big as the entire sleeping area (small, by American standards, but big enough), stocked with high end toiletries, a soaking tub, and a huge walk in shower. A couple of suggestions: 1. The towels are rough and scratchy. An easy problem to fix. 2. There are cards in the bathroom encouraging guests to conserve resources by re-using towels, but there is no where to hang them! In my opinion, the bump out for the bathroom window is the perfect spot for a couple of hooks. I'd definitely go back.
