We flew in to Chicago for a baseball game at Wrigley Field and selected the City Suites because it is just a short walk from the hotel. It is also right on the Red Line so it's easy to get to from Midway. You don't need a car but the hotel offers parking for an additional $22.50/night with unlimited in and out. The hotel itself is small and friendly and the rooms are older but very clean and comfortable. A continental breakfast is served in a cozy area on the main floor and the pastries are very good. Later in the day a plate of cookies appeared in this area and were very welcome. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions. Some people may have a problem with the noise of the Elevated but we appreciated the convenience of having it a half block away and figured the noise goes with the territory. We will definitely go back.

Room Tip: If the Elevated noise bothers you, ask for a room as far away as possible. Ours was as close as pos...

Great little hotel for a trip to Wrigley. Within walking distance to the game. Nice selection of restaurants and bars within a few blocks. Décor is a bit dated, but it's part of the charm. Great little getaway spot.

We stayed at the City Suites for 3 nights in April. It is about 6 blocks from our daughter's home, so that worked well for us. The room was clean and the bathroom was clean. Some nice bath products were provided. The housekeeping service was great and everyone on the staff was friendly.

The brunch was very good: a selection of hot and cold items with plenty of coffee and juices. The hotel is close to lots of bars, restaurants and shops. We also recommend Ann Sather for a fantastic breakfast.

There was a problem with our bill when we checked out, but it was corrected.

The two young men who were at the front desk were great and made our stay perfect. We will definitely return to the City Suites.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on "the quiet side" of the hotel if you are a light sleeper.

We recently stayed at City Suites for a long weekend and I would definitely stay there again. The building is older but it is maintained nicely and was very clean. The rooms were pretty small but very clean and extremely comfortable. If your room faces the train there is a lot of noise but once the window AC unit is turned on it drowns out all of the noise. The location was perfect for us right in the heart of Boys Town conveniently located to lots of restaurants and all of the bars that we were interested in going too and right next to the train which was wonderful. The breakfast was pretty basic but perfect for something quick if you are in a hurry.

Ideal if you are attending a game at Wrigley. It's one stop away. The rooms were clean and a decent sized (It's smaller than an average suite but larger than a typical room). A good mix of cuisines nearby. It's about 20 minutes from downtown on the El. The only slight complaint is you can definitely hear the El.

The hotel is close to Belmont on the El as well as lots of cool shops and bars in Boystown. We liked the diner across the road and Ann Sather a few doors down. It is noisy though, we heard the announcements on the El platform very clearly. The room was massive, more like a suite almost, but slightly dated in terms of decor and furniture. The breakfast was budget but ok, the staff helpful and friendly. Loved Chicago and Boystown!

Stayed here with significant other for a birthday weekend getaway. Great location being on the CTA rail line (brown, purple, & red). Easy to get downtown, walkable to an expansive amount of nightlife and restuarants, and friendly hotel staff. We arrived early and checked out late with both times checking out luggage with the staff which worked out great. Great value too especially with the continental breakfast. Only negative can be the rooms with windows to the CTA rail line could be a bit more noisy, but the extra noise was minor and didn't bother us at all.

Room Tip: Great location to not need a car while in Chicago. Rooms with windows facing CTA rail line may be a...
