Description: Paris Club Bistro & Bar serves classic French cuisine in the heart of downtown Chicago. Plush leather booths, rich wood paneling and antique brass create an intimate dining room reminiscent of Paris' most iconic bistros. At the main bar, an extensive cocktail program offers timeless aperitifs and digestifs crafted with French ingredients. In the kitchen, Chef Partner Doug Psaltis has channeled the roots of his early career with Chef Alain Ducasse to create a menu of celebrated classics like Hand-cut Steak Tartare, French Onion Soup, Chateaubriand and Dover Sole Meuniere. It is time to rediscover Paris.

“Good selection of seafood and local beers”
Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

Service was great and the food was very good. Seafood appetizer platter was ordered for the table and it was great. Ordered salmon, which was delicious but a little small on the serving size. Beer selection includes a number of Belgian beers and a nice variety of local beers: Metropolitan Krankshaft (kolsch), Two Brothers French Country Ale, Three Floyds from across the state line, and a number of Goose Island offerings...try the Two Brothers, as it is a Biere de Garde style and was great. The staff wasn't very knowledgable on the beer so you'll have to do your own homework. Chocolate crepe for dessert was an excellent finish. This is a popular place, so you may be lucky and see some celebrity's dining there...we did (the force was with us).

“intersesting experience”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

i suppose on any other night a homeless man would not have passed the hosts and entered this Hubbard Street restaurant but one did tonight. Not only did he enter but he walked directly to a table where three gentlemen were seated and proceeded to harass them much to their embarrassment. it took about 5 minutes before anyone realized this dilemma before the hostess indeed approached the table and asked the homeless man to leave. it was an awkward moment and it looked as if the man might become violent but much to the hostess' credit she persuaded him to leave with very little drama. now, for some reason, i called my server to my table and told her to buy the 3 gentlemen a round of drinks. however, when i asked for my bill the server told me that the drinks i had asked to be served to those guys were not included because they hadn't finished their first round yet. all i can say is that wasn't up to her to decide even though she said the gesture was good enough. in my opinion it wasn't enough. this was a real disappointment on every level. no matter how good the food is unless it is represented in a safe environment accompanied with a staff who are eager to please, why the hell go there? i do not recommend Paris Club. i can't.

“hip, yet down to earth”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Had an excellent birthday dinner. Earl, our server was smartly efficient, yet a most friendly and attentive young man. Took as much time as we needed to explain the courses and enjoin us in pleasantries. The place was lively, yet not impossible to hear (I am pretty hard of hearing in crowded rooms).

The food is excellent. I had the Roquefort-encrusted filet and my wife enjoyed the halibut. The only (nit-picky) thing I would say is that the filet was slightly salty. The vegetables were most definitely NOT an oversight and contributed mightily toward the quality of the dining. My wife is still talking about the halibut two days later.

Nice wine list, but a little obscure, so maybe a little help would be nice. We lucked out with a northern Rhone selection, which might have been a bit much for the halibut. But if my wife's happy, I'm happy.

“Paris Club CHICAGO IL”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

This was a beautifully restored industrial space. Private dining area above and a lively dining room and bar loaded with attractively dressed young people. Reservations recommended but bar accommodates walkins easily for first come first served arrivals. The specialty drinks were terrific. We had Parisols. After a Paris Chopped Salad we enjoyed the Chicken Paillard, Roasted Half Chicken w Herbs, and The Roquefort Fillet.
