So I am a HHonors member and used some points for the stay here this past weekend. Great location. Two blocks off the Mile but very easy to walk right to it. This is the first time at a ES, but the free breakfast....simply amazing value. It is cook to order if you want to wait for it. Another great value, the Manager's Reception. These two aspects saved our group over $100 in two days and made it a fun hotel to stay at. Would come back again.

Great place to stay! Rooms were nice two room suites with pull out bed in living room area, refrigerator, microwave, and sinks in bedroom, bath, and kitchenette area. Included in our stay was a free breakfast; hot buffet and cook to order omelets; great breakfast! There were also free drinks for two hours each night, no top shelf stuff but they made everything we asked for.

You can hear normal conversations in the room beside you. The hotel is very nice and in a great location but its ridiculous that you can hear everything......what a poor design!!

This hotel is in a great location to walk to most attractions. The lakefront path and Navy Pier is just down Illinois. The museum campus is an $8 cab ride or a short walk to the subway. Great restaurants and shops only a couple blocks away. A fabulous food market, Fox and Obel is just down one block from the hotel. This hotel is full of families. I would not stay here for a romantic weekend in the city. At breakfast time there are tons of kids running around and also during the evening reception. It was a little tiring watching parents relax while their kids were climbing on the counters to grab donuts and sticking their hands in the cocktail peanut bowls. You will see a lot of this. This was during the week and weekend. The breakfast was fine but like others report show up early for the made to order egg dishes. The other stuff is your typical breakfast buffet fare.

Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and timely. The only line I encountered was upon registration. We never waited for an elevator. The rooms are fine. Nothing fancy but a good amount of space and door to the bedroom that closes. I would stay here again. We are a family of five and the room was big enough for us to eat and sleep in. We didn't encounter any noise and we were on floor 6 which is the first floor up from lobby. The next time we are in Chicago I anticipate staying here again.

Dear Valued Guest -

Thank you very much for your kind and gracious posting on Trip Advisor. There is nothing more exciting for a hotel general manager than to see a positive comment about the hotel.

I am delighted that you liked our hotel location and found your two-room suite spacious enough for your family of five. As you know, we are an all-suite hotel so every guest enjoys a two-room suite with a spacious parlor and bedroom. At vast majority of the hotels, suite accommodations are a luxury but at our hotel, this is just a standard room.

I also appreciated your comment about our team members being helpful to you. Please know that we constantly strive to improve our service culture at this hotel. We believe in creating a work environment where team members look forward to coming to work. Consequently, the team members show a genuine desire to serve our customers and make them feel at home.

Thank you again for taking the time to post your comments about your recent stay at the Embassy Suites Chicago Lakefront on Trip Advisor. We were honored to serve you and look forward to welcoming you back in the very near future.

We wish you a very safe and a happy holiday season!

After searching forever for a nice hotel with great location, I cam across the Embassy Suites at an amazing rate. Myself and a friend of mine were coming into the city for a concert and a mini vacation and this hotel was perfect! The rooms are large and spacious. Beds were comfortable and the view was awesome! Hotel staff was kind every time we walked through the door. Dwayne was especially kind to us each time we returned and was a breath of fresh air to see every day! Breakfast was amazing. Tons of options and the food was hot and delicious every morning. Shirley (as well as everyone else) went out of their way to explain everything to us and make sure we had everything we needed. Location is good! We walked to Navy Pier twice (10-15 min walk) as well as Michigan Ave. There is a Walgreens around the corner as well as a grocery across the street. Pool and hot tub were nice to relax in after a chilly day walking around in the City though the pool was in a little need of a cleaning. Internet was $15 for 24 hrs so we didn't use it but the business center was helpful for directions. Taxi rides ranged from $5-$7 to attractions you can't walk to. We can't wait to return to this hotel next time!

Dear Hotel Guest -

I just read your comment your recently posted here on Trip Advisor and it made my day!

You are incredibly generous and gracious for referring to us as your "perfect hotel." I cannot begin to tell you how much this means to us. This is exactly what makes coming to work every day so worthwhile. I have shared your comments with our entire team and especially with Dwayne, our bellman and Shirley, our hostess for our complimentary breakfast. I am so thrilled you noticed these two individuals and recognized them for their warm and caring attitudes. I am so proud of both these fine team members as they inspire me and make me a better hotelier.

I am also delighted that you found the hotel location ideal for your purposes. As you experienced, we are within two blocks of the famous North Michigan Avenue and two blocks from Navy Pier and a host of other attractions.

Thank you again so much for your posting on Trip Advisor and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, please stay safe and stay well.

Warmest regards and a very happy holiday season!

I stayed in the Presidential Suite, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Chicago Downtown Lakefront and it was wonderful! From the moment I was greeted by the bell hop at the front door it was a delightful experience. Doris at the front desk made the trip such a wonderful experience, and we enjoyed seeing her during our visit! The breakfast staff were kind, courteous, helpful and most of all cheerful every morning! Bar tenders in the evening were on top of their game, and pleasant to meet. As for the rooms, they are clean and comfortable and we got a wonderful night sleep! I would definitely do it again! In fact, we tried to book a room for the next week for other family members before we even left!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites downtown for several nights in October. It's a great location to do all sorts of shopping, sightseeing and dining! The rooms are very clean and nicely kept. It's not luxurious, but wonderfuly functional. The fridge and microwave came in handy. As mentioned before, the breakfast is very good, but it does get busy by 8:15 or so. We walked to Navy Pier, Bobby's Bike Hike, the boat tours, Millenium Park and Michigan Avenue. Everyone was very helpful. The pool and hot tub were not the warmest. There's a Walgreens next door and a wonderful grocery store/sandwich shop/deli....of course the name escapes me right now, across the street. We did self park and it was very easy, but you have to be sure you're not going in and out. We've always stayed at the other end of Michigan Avenue, but I think this is much better.

Our Esteemed Guest -

Thank you so much for your kind comments on Trip Advisor about our location and the value we offer. As you experienced firsthand, we are within walking distance to the chic and trendy Mag Mile, Navy Pier and a host of other attractions in downtown Chicago. Our value through our fully cooked-to-order, complimentary breakfast and the nightly two-hour Manager's reception is second to none. Incidentally, the grocery store directly across the street is Dominick's. You couldn't remember the name but appreciated the convenience of having this store right at our doorsteps.

Again, thank you for taking the time to post a comment on Trip Advisor. This is great publicity for us and we sincerely appreciated your visit and your business. Hope to serve you again in the near future.

Warm regards and safe travels during the holiday season!
