Nice variety of great food. Wonderful service. If the weather is good, eat outside and watch the boats go by.

I recently had lunch with my husband and 2 friends at the Bridge House Tavern. We sat outside overlooking the river which was very nice. The meal was very good -both my husband and I had the house burger. It was very huge with 2 patties. We could have easily shared the meal for lunch. It was cooked as requested - nice touch since many restaurants serve well done burgers even when you order it medium rare. My only complaint was that my fries were way too overcooked but I didn't eat most of them so it was fine. Very nice selection of cocktails ($5 bloody mary's!) and draft beers.

Slogging with our luggage from the blue line to our hotel after a ridiculously long flight from the west coast (stupid airlines), my husband and I spotted exactly where we wanted to return for dinner. We saw the tavern along the river, but weren't sure how to get down there. (Look for the sign prominently posted on the street-level elevator to the river level.) We were greeted immediately by a welcoming staff who took care of us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We did have to wait for a table, but not long enough to finish our beers. (Excellent choices of beer, draught and bottled, served by people who know beer.) We were seated shoreside and had the pleasure of a chat with people who arrived by boat, put in their orders, and ate on their boat deck. The wait staff worked efficiently but didn't not act hassled or harried (a very busy night) so we never felt like we were an imposition. (That can happen in busy, up-venue places.) The owner greeted diners, chatted a bit, and had time to tell us about his background, concept, and hopes for his restaurant. It is clear that he and his staff love what they do. A fabulous meal for a very reasonable price. And we had time to enjoy the one of the other major streets of Chicago -- the River.

Loved our table on the river. Beautiful morning! Bloody Mary and Mimosas for 5 dollars and great food for all. We has the BLT with fries(they were delicious), corned beef hash, and chicken and waffles. Everyone was satisfied. Hostess very friendly and accommodating. Will come back.

We had a business event on a Sunday evening. They are normally closed but opened up to us. The place is amazing for an event!! We had the entire restaurant, which opened up to the beautiful patio on the river. The food was perfect, service even better. Five thumbs up!
