I was in Chicago for a conference.
I have stayed in many 5 stars hotels but nothing like this one. The design is well ahead of anything available. Food is excellent particularly the breakfast. Service is exception; staff are extremely helpful and polite. Free Wifi works well. Free safe. Iron.
The location is the best, 5 minutes to the most the popular Michigan Avenue. It is in busy area but the rooms are extremely quiet
Again, few minor issues like remote control not controlling the lights, and as some mentioned the accessories are for one but they supplied more when raised the issue. As with any big project there will be minor issues early on, but I am sure those will get sorted. The staffs appear energetic and care about the hotel image.

I highly recommend this hotel for holiday and business.
If you are going for the conference next year, then book early.

I booked this hotel using an online service that doesn't reveal name of hotel until it is booked. What a pleasant surprise! I didn't know this hotel was open. It is beautiful -- looks like waves of water from the outside and the water theme is carried on inside. The carpet in our room looked like the ocean in the Caribbean. Very quiet, plush, lots of techy gadgets. We ate a light dinner consisting of pizza and wine in the bar before the theater and then had brunch in the morning. What a delight! The food was delicious and the servers friendly and eager to please. Great location!

First of all impression is really great - fantastic design, great location, modern architecture. Everything is really top of the notch.

We arrived at 11PM, received the keys, opened the doors, and... surprise! Room was either not made up yet, or somebody was still occupying it. We came back to the front desk, and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised with immediate reaction - we received another, corner room which was really great. Nice furniture, very good sleep quality, nice atmosphere. I liked it very much. Coming to the childhood diseases: room was made for one person. At midnight I didn't want to complain and request all this stuff - I thought it'll be done next day. Unfortunately housekeeping did nothing to fix this, and as somebody mentioned before was almost not existent. Also lights steering worked only manually. Other than this everything was just perfect. After some fine-tuning it'll be one of the best places to stay in Chicago.

Stupendous building in Chicago. Will only get better and better. This building is unbelievable. Definitely not for the kids, but for rather business traveler or adult couple getaway. Swanky and pricey, but well worth the extra expense. When you arrive you will see this is Adult time only and for good reason. Awesome restaurant with an incredible wine selection, and in the heart of the Millennium Park /Art Institute section of the Loop

This is a beautiful hotel, the building is stunning and the location couldn't be better. The hotel has a sleek interior design with fun touches throughout (like the Chicago skyline painted on the walls of the guest room floors). The rooms were nicely designed and very comfortable, and the pillows were plentiful and plushy. One big problem was with the showers. They were so poorly designed! You have to step inside to turn on the water, so you get drenched with cold water for several minutes. It's hard to figure out how to switch from the ceiling nozzle to the handheld one, and if you turn on the handheld nozzle while it is mounted on the wall the water shoots straight out, hits the shower door, and goes all over the floor. This hotel is the first of its kind in North America - - I hope they work out the kinks in any others that they build. One other small thing, there is no protective plate on the door, so if you keep it open using the latch it will scuff up the door. Fortunately that is fairly easy to resolve - - the plumbing problem isn't.
