My wife and I stayed here for two nights. We were visiting our daughter, who moved to Chicago and lives about 6 or 7 blocks south on N. Sheridan Rd. We were very happy with the accommodations and will stay here again. The home is large and beautifully restored; we enjoyed hearing about it from Susan. Our room and bathroom were also large and well-appointed. Comfortable bed. It was quiet, too, although we didn't see any other guests until the day we checked out, so maybe that was the reason. We ate breakfast outside on the deck, which was really nice. We also loved the neighborhood. It's a short walk to a park and the lake, and you can walk along the beach forever. The L is two short blocks away, and there are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance as well. People in the area are very friendly. If you're visiting someone at Loyola, this place is quite convenient.
One note: We reserved a parking space (at $20 a day), because we weren't sure what the parking situation would be. The reserved space is in the garage, so your car is well taken care of. Our experience in the neighborhood, which is admittedly limited, is that parking during the day is no problem at all, but at night can be difficult.More
