This was our first food tour. Chose it because of reviews on Trip Advisor and I would have to agree with the other reviews.... an excellent tour. Mimi was our guide who not only explained the rich food history, but the rich history of Chicago. I felt like we had 2 tours for the price of one. I highly recommend it!

We selected the "Flavors of Chicago" tour, which was focused on the sort of iconic foods of the city. Pizza, Chicago dogs, the infamous "cheezborgers" from Billy Goat Tavern. I was less interested in the Fannie Mae chocolate shop, and while the cajun place was delicious, it didn't seem very "Chicago" to me.

On the other hand, it was an excellent walking tour, historical and informative as well as tasty, and on an incredibly hot day, Annalise did a good job of keeping us in the shade, walking through hotel lobbies, and supplying us with plenty of water along the way.

it was perhaps a bit expensive for the amount of food we got (although we had plenty to eat by the end of the tour), but both the guide and the owner of the company (who met us on a few of the stops) were gracious hosts.

This was our first food tour and we selected tastebud s because of previous reviews.

We had a wonderful hostess named Victoria that made a point of talking with our entire group. She really did a tremendous job of telling us about the city and the restaurants along the way.

We had a perfect day in downtown and all of the stops were very enjoyable. We especially liked the pizza and the Chicago style hot dog and a cold beer from the adjacent bar. The pace of the tour was just right and finishing up in the heart of the magnificent mile was an added bonus.

Finally the owner and founder met us at the last restaurant and really appreciated our business.

We highly recommend for anyone that enjoys different foods.

Our daughter gave us the tour for Christmas and, due to circumstances, we actually had three different weeks scheduled to visit Chicago from Omaha. When we finally got there, it was mind-bogglingly hot and humid - got to love the midwest in July! Our group was small, and, by chance, all teachers - two from Canada and two from Omaha. Our tour guide, AnnaLynn was absolutely fantastic. We had a very good time; the food AND the history were super. Would do it again and certainly highly recommend the experience.

My husband and I did the Tastebud Tours in Chicago, with Mimi as our guide. We've done the historical tours and the city overview tours in every major city we've been in. But this is one of the best tours we've ever been on. My husband, who isn't easily impressed, said this was the best tour he'd ever been on! We both love to eat so this tour was very appealing to us, and we weren't disappointed. We were absolutely stuffed at the end of the tour. Mimi offered insights into each of the places we stopped, as well as tidbits about the food. She also offered info about some of the architecture and history of Chicago along our walking tour. All in all, a perfect way for us to spend a couple of hours in Chicago, and get a taste of some good eats at the same time! Highly recommend!
