This past weekend, we took the savour Chicago tour. It was an amazing, informative & FILLING afternoon. This was our first food tour so we did not know what to expect and we were blown away. Our tour guide John was very informative and entertaining. The food was AMAZING !!! The website said come hungry they were not kidding!! When they said sampling truth is it is several meals rolled into one! Since the deep dish pizza was not part of our tour we asked what they recommended and he was happy to recommend one that we tried the next day. Oh while we were in the tour we were given coupons for a free dessert and a free appetizer at Devon's! So glad I found this tour! I have already recommended it to a friend who is planning trip

This was our first trip to Chicago and we couldn't have asked for a better tour to show us the Loop. Our guide, Mimi, was friendly, knowledgable and very helpful in explaining the local food culture and history. We got a wide variety of excellent food, and plenty of it! As wonderful as this was, we found the visits to Millenium Park, the Cultural Center, Daley Plaza, the Palmer House Hotel lobby and the Marquette Building to be just as interesting. Her tips for shopping and seeing other sites were right on the mark, too. I couldn't imagine a better experience and highly recommend this tour.

Annaleigh was such a great tour guide....we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and recommend anyone who wants to see he city (without walking around not knowing).....take he tour. Enough food for lunch, lots of culture and an all around good time. Pianos has killer bloody Mary's too! Annaleigh was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with.

We've been to Chicago many times but this was our first food tour & it was a great way to spend an afternoon! Amber was an informative and funny guide, and it was nice that she noticed we had a cupcake fan in the group & took us on a quick detour to visit the Sprinkles cupcake ATM. We took the "Flavors" tour and loved the variety of food we got to try; I'd do this one again just to have another brownie from the Drake. Each stop included Chicago history, info about the business we were visiting, a huge serving (Pizano's sent an entire deep dish pizza!), and plenty of time to relax & enjoy the treats.

Don't eat a big breakfast or plan on much for dinner, you'll be full if you try some of everything offered. Downtown Dogs was the only spot I wasn't a fan of- we were seated in the adjoining bar (had a very pricey beer), and while some of our group liked the dog mine was cold with a soggy bun. Luckily we followed this with a 'cheezeborger' from the Billy Goat Tavern.

Lynn, the owner, met us at the beginning of the tour and we saw him visiting with another tour group later that day. It was neat to see how involved he is with each group and how genuinely excited everyone in his company is about sharing Chicago. I'd love to try their New Orleans tour sometime.

One tip- while the first tour of the day (11am) was packed with 12+ ladies, our 11.30am tour just had our group of four. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but having the smaller group made the experience even better.

I took the Flavor of Chicago tour with my husband and son and his girlfriend along with 6 other people whom we didn't know but soon grew to enjoy very much. What's better than great people and great food! Annalynn was our tour guide and did a fabulous job intermingling the interesting facts about the food establishments that we visited along with the historical background. Also, when we passed historically significant buildings Annalynn was sure to point them out. I will do this again when I return to Chicago. There are several tours to choose from. It was a great memory that we will talk about for a long time. We met Lynne the founder and he wanted to make sure we had enough to eat and enjoyed ourselves. Lynne, we did on both counts!! Thanks for starting this business!!
