I just returned from the JW Marriott after staying two nights for a conference. I was very impressed straight from check-in. The lobby is large, airy and beautiful. Check-in was quick (and I checked in a little early). My room was really fabulous - and much more than I expected. It was a large room with a king size bed. My bathroom had a separate deep-plunge tub (that I was too busy to use!), shower and toilet closet. The bathroom counter had tons of space and there was a magnifying mirror. The bathroom was well lit, spacious and very clean. The bed in the room was also terrific. It was a good firmness and so very comfortable for me. The desk area was well-lit with good plug points and space. There was complimentary bottled water. Lastly, my room was so very quiet which as great. I wish I could have spent more time relaxing in it!

Spent Memorial Day w/e here and it was a very nice hotel. Room was large and comforable. Large bathroom and a deep tub and seperate shower. Really nicely and newly decorated from the room, to the halls and the lobby. Easy to get around town. A 6 block walk to the art museum and Millieum park.

Room Tip: not too close to elevator, noisy near where everyone gets off.

Staying for 5days at this magnificent hotel in the heart of downtown chicago, I had the chance to experience a 5 stars experience. Friendly staff, the rooms were quite comfortable and have everything that you need to make your stay more enjoyable.

I recommend this hotel to anyone that is searching for a high standard stay

My wife and I traveled to Chicago for the first time over Memorial Day Weekend and chose the JW Marriott as our lodging for three nights. We stayed on the 11th floor, in a beautiful room. Large (and comfy) King bed, nice flat screen TV and an outstanding bathroom with a VERY DEEP tub and separate shower. The room was quiet and we experienced good sleep all three nights. The only downside was that we only had a view of the rooms across from us, instead of the streets of Chicago.

A big reason why we chose the JW Marriott was because of the location - it's within the Loop (arguably the best area of Chicago) and only a couple blocks away from Wills Tower (formerly Sears Tower) as well as the "L" train! The front desk and concierge staff were very friendly and extremely helpful when we asked them (on multiple occasions) for suggestions for great restaurants that were close by (answer: Miller Pub & Giordanos).

Overall, a great hotel which we will surely consider upon returning to Chicago.

My office is less than a block from this hotel which is also not far from the Sears Tower. The cost is surprisingly competitive given the location and the W right across the street. This hotel is fairly new or has been renovated. The lobby has an open and inviting floor plan that has posh, sophisticated lighting and decor. Not what you'd expected from the outside, but don't judge a book by it's cover. Drinks in the lobby were well enjoyed because of the atmosphere, unique speciality drink selections, and attentive servers. The rooms are much larger and accomodating than the similarly priced, nearby Club Quarters Hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to business travelers or even vacationers looking for something closer to Sears Tower and Greek Town. A nice alternative to the pricy rooms on Mag Mile.

Room Tip: No room will have much of a view because of all the highrises nearby, but with how nice the rooms ar...

A friend and I shared a double room over the first weekend in May and paid a premium since it was a busy weekend in Chicago. The room was a decent size for two people in separate beds and bathroom was amazing with separate toilet room with door. What impressed me the most was how quiet the room was. I didn't hear noise from the hallway and even though our window was on the street, there was minimal traffic noise compared to other hotels I've stayed at in the Loop.

The hotel is on West Adams so it's a few blocks from Michigan Ave and the river so it's not a prime tourist spot but you get to walk among stunning Chicago architecture to get where you're going so I didn't mind.

My wife and I stayed a week at this hotel. From the time of arrival til the time we left, the service was wonderful. This is a high class hotel with luxurious rooms and exquisite bathrooms. The gym is top of the line and enormous. What's great is the "L" next door and the Willis Tower one block away! This is one of the best hotels we have stayed and enjoyed the quietness and cleaniness.
