A culinary treat! Food is amazing with all the different types of ingredients. Quite busy but what do you expect for Chicago? Will hit up again. Maybe for restaurant week.

I just had dinner last night at The Purlple Pig. I had heard wonders of the place and was not disappointed. Their selection of cheeses' only problem is that it's so hard to choose!! They're all amazing.
We also had the bone marrow, tripe, secreto and the pork shoulder. Each plate was better than the last. I could barely walk out of there but left so very happy...
¡A MUST IN CHICAGO!

I only wish they had Mezcal.

The restaurant was small, but we walked in and got a table straight away on a Sunday afternoon at 4 for 2 ppl. We ordered cauliflower, pig ears, mortadella smear and the meatball slider. We also had ice cream for dessert. Everything was good. Price was very reasonable. Would recommend.

I visited the Purple Pig with friends. Located on Michigan Ave, across from the Tribune building, the Purple Pig at first seemed loud and very crowded. Then we realized that it was part of the environment. No reservations are made so everyone must wait. We had some cocktiails in the back served a ver attentive waitress. Once we got a place at one of the tables, it was clear that folks were enjoying their meals. While the table were bunched up, everyone was friendly. The food was spectacular! Just reading the menu made our mouths water. After deciding, we order with adventure and passion: fuet (a favorite of my friend), navajas (razor clams), squash, bread, and some other delights. All were well prepared and made to be shared among friends, which we did. Tasty food in good portions. And soon we found ourselves in awe at the food and the excellent preparation. Definitely I will return to explore other dishes and experience the company of friends.

I have been to The Pig on numerous occasions, this time I was able to share with 6 newbies. We were able to get a table with only a short wait. We enjoyed the salted beet salad (my favorite!), marrow, meatballs, cheese platter, egg plant........ssoooo much awesome food. Add in some great wine and laughter, an amazing place to spend a snowy Chicago afternoon
