The style of continuous ordering of small tapas servings makes for an enjoyable experience. Serving staff was friendly and attentive (as a team). Unique and tasty dishes. Wine list was comprehensive.

This place was amazing. They don't take reservations and we Had to wait 1.5 hours for our table. We had a couple of appetizers and the purple iris dessert. It was all unbelievably good. We will return on our next visit to Chicago.

This place had rave reviews and deserved them all! It's a totally unique restaurant with menu items you've never seen before. But, everything that comes out of the kitchen is absolutely delicious! And, you don't need to take out a 2nd mortgage to eat here. (You do need patience to get a table, however, although we were amazed to find that, having put our name on the list for a table, they called our cell phone when it was ready for us...allowing us to have a leisurely drink across the street.)

If you're looking for a new and fun experience and some amazing food, head to the Purple Pig!

There is nothing on the menu that is boring! Everything we ordered, and we ordered a lot of things, was yummy. The staff was great and their suggestions were right-on. They encourage you to take your time and savor the experience. We sat there for hours enjoying all the different and delicious selections. Try the pork liver pate and the tripe with pigs feet and sausage. I know it sounds weird but it was soooo good!

I recently (July 4, 2013) dined at the Purple Pig in Chicago Il. If you are a pork fan then this is your heaven. Although crowded (understandably so considering the excellent cuisine) the food was amazing!! The marriage of pork parts to unique fruits, herbs and cheeses was impressive. If a great dining experience is on the To Do list in Chicago, then the Purple Pig is a must!
