Stayed for 2 nights having secured a great Kimpton Intouch opening offer of $89 per night. Reserved a 2 bed room as traveling with grown up daughter but on check in was told 2 beds not available - bummer. But to make good we were upgraded to a suite on the 16th floor with a huge lounge and separate bedroom. Bathroom also huge with walk in shower and jacuzzi bath. Kimpton Intouch gift of $10 off minibar item very welcome - hic.
Rooftop outside area and indoor pool a big bonus for this hotel and one which would attract me back. Food is available there but at room service rates which is expensive. Wine reception was busy but again something I love about Kimptons.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but did have a drink at the bar which was buzzing. Hotel is in a brilliant location - walked to beach in one direction and Willis Tower in the other. Loads of bars and restaurants close by - really liked the Purple Pig for lunch.
Finally - the staff - very welcoming and helpful. Can't fault the Palomar - hope to return sometime soon.
