I just returned from a visit with my daughter in Chicago and had the privilege of staying at this bed and breakfast for 5 nights. I have never written a review of any hotel or B&B until now and have traveled quite extensively. Villa D'Citta was better than a home away from home. The design is incredible. The bed is comfortable and supportive... Every detail seems to count. The downstairs is absolutely gorgeous with a kitchen filled with food at one's fingertips.
The Venetian room, which I had the pleasure of staying in, has its own patio and entrance to outdoor hot tub which we used even in the cold weather. It also has many windows, which I loved and an entry hall with a stunning writing table . My only complaint is I would have loved to have had a small shelving or drawer unit in the closet for folded clothes, socks, etc.
Along with all above comes a great director who knows when to engage and when to stay out of one's way. This is so hard to get from a B&B.
I will be coming back in the summer, and if all stays the same, plan to make this my home base in Chicago when I visit my daughter.More
