Owner description: We are Chicago's river transportation service. An iconic fleet of black and yellow boats, we serve all three branches of the Chicago River from March to November. Our stops include Michigan Avenue, Chinatown, North Avenue, Clark and LaSalle, The Chicago Riverwalk, and Union and Ogilvie Train Station. There is no better way to get around Chicago than by boat!

We road the taxi from the Field/Shedd Aquarium to Navy Pier. The ride was about 10-15 minutes long, it was kind of gloomy, but that is irrelevant. (Hey, at least you know if it's raining the taxi still runs). Be aware, it gets pretty cold out on that taxi and the top deck is extremely slippery! I do not recommend wearing flip flops like I did! Regardless of the cold and slippery environment, it is a great way to skip the traffic, get some peace, and I've noticed it's never really packed on the taxi giving you kind of the feeling like it's your own boat which is awesome. I recommend this highly!

We took the Water Taxi from the Ogilvie train station to Michigan Avenue - It was just a short walk to the Radisson and the kids loved it. $4 each and just the right amount of time for a 2 year old!

We took the water taxi from the Chciago Tribune area to Chinatown on the river. There are many more trips you can take on an all day pass for other destinations. It was an easy and conveninet way to get from the downtown area to Chinatown for a meal. We loved the ease of the ride and enjoyed the views of the architecture along the way. Landed in a beautiful park. They give you a map that is easy to follow to find restaurants and other attractions in Chinatown. We returned via redline L directly to the loop.

We bought the all day pass. We picked up the water taxi at Navy Pier and took it to Shedd Aquarium. Wonderful boat ride to and from the Aquarium. We also took the boats on the river. Great way to get around and avoid traffic. Lovely views and very relaxing.

got a day pass ($23) to ride the water taxi. Left from Museum Campus to Navy Pier, then to the Willis Tower, then back to Navy pier, then back to the museum campus where we had parked our car on the street for $2 an hour. Just a great way to travel and see the sights in Chicago. Employees all kind, helpful. Excellent!!
