“Venue is nice but watch what you order”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Restaurant: The variety platter (ochra, crabfish, shrimp) was all deep-fried but this isn't mentioned on the menu. It would be great to know this before ordering...I had the worse stomach pain ever that night because it was just too much deep-fried stuff. Service also wasn't the greatest at all. We had to go upstairs due to lack of seating and they don't even take your order up there...you have to wait in line at the bar with everyone ordering their drinks to order some food. This is not great service by any means.

Venue: The place was nice although it was impossible to find seating for the performance that night. But it was a good show nonetheless and Buddy Guy came up on stage which was great. First time watching Blues last; hopefully not the last!

“Smoking hot”
Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

What a great place. We went on a Monday night, expecting things to be quiet. No way. On Monday, Buddy has his Monday night jam. The house band plays for an hour while drop-in musicians get their name on the list. Every half hour, the host reads off the next set of musicians, usually about 7 at a time. We had performers from as far away as Toronto and Australia. The talent level is excellent. When you come to play at Buddy's, you bring your A game. The club really rocks.

For Monday night, get there maybe 45 minutes before the music starts at 9:30 to get a good table. It is a small club and it is soon standing room only. For about $10, you can get a large burger and fries or similar pub food. The cover is $10 but our hotel gave us a coupon for half off.

“Come for the music not the food”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Come for the music not the food...Enough said. Food was nothin more than overpriced bar food. Service would've been a 3, but we were seated next to the bar and could hear the servers talking about guests.

The music was good. The inside reminds me of a dive bar. Loved the woman who worked in the bathroom--so nice!

“Pre Concert surprise!”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We were desperately looking for a place to eat before the Taylor Swift concert Sat. August 10. 2013. I was very happy to stumble on to this place the food was Teen friendly and relaxed . The fried oysters were crispy and delicious and the staff was very nice. I will be back with the adults to hear some blues!
