My mother - a good Methodist from Rockford, IL - sang at the Chicago Temple in 1942. Imagine my delight when, after attending Sunday morning services there, I spoke with a pastor who remembered the minister from way back when. As architecturally beautiful as the temple itself is, the congregation and ministry staff's welcoming presence had an even greater impact during our visit. I look forward to attending Chicago Temple services whenever I'm in town, and will definitely return for a tour of the building, offered Mon - Sat at 2:00 in the afternoon.
