From one side - yes, it is still a must-see place, however I expected a bit more - it is a pier, with a few places to shop and drink, big stage and many boat tours, but it think this place is a bit over advertised.
Beer garden, children's museum, a few other interesting things on it sure worth time.

We had stopped by there to grab a water taxi to china town. We walked around for a bit. Seems to me that the only things that they have there are restaurants, bars and crappy touristy shopping. Yes, I agree with the reviews that its a tourist trap. I do remember going there years ago (only remembered going there once I actually got there) and wasn't really impressed. I guess they have a children's museum but we didn't get a chance to see it. Just lots of food court stuff, restaurants and not much else.

Unless attending a show avoid at all costs! Not real Chicago.Stained glass it's only saving grace, but not worth the trip unless that's your thing.

While the Navy Pier is nice with little shops and places to eat and drink, the star of the show was the stained glass museum. When we asked where we should go on our trip many people suggested the pier, but no one mentioned this incredible museum. The only drawback is there aren't any seats around the windows to sit in splendor.

Why are people going to this "attraction"? It is a mall, and a big one at that. Absolutely nothing special about this place. If you are looking for something like the Santa Monica pier, this is NOT it.
