We stayed at Hotel Lincoln just across the street! There was a farmers market with lots of fresh fruit and things for sale! Great Park!

Interesting history with potters field. a lovely walk to and from down lake shore drive. New Nike fuel facility too, but you can play ball and enjoy the outdoors

We walked to Lincoln Park Zoo from N. Michigan Avenue, and spent much longer here than intended. The highlight for me was to stand only inches away from a live gorilla, as he interacted with the crowd of people around me. Only a glass wall separated us from him, and he had children screaming in delight and trepidation. Also I enjoyed seeing a beaver swimming and some of the other unusual animals such as the giraffe and the chimpanzees. It was a beautiful day, and also has a spot from which you can take amazing photos of the Downtown skyline. I loved the time I spent here, and only left when the gates were closing for the day.

A great place to walk and gather your thoughts. I usually start at North Ave. and Dearborn and walk to the Lincoln Statue. If I have more time I may walk all the way to the zoo.

By going from one end of Lincoln Park to the other you get a real sense of what Chicago is like at it's best. Many beaches with their own personalities, a world class zoo, botanical gardens, golf course, and again, many harbors, each, with it's own personality. Even a dog beach.
