Wonderful dining experience! Steven, our waiter, made our dining experience so enjoyable. He was funny, knowledgable, efficient and more importantly--perfectly organized with the timing for every course we had. I would go back just to hopefully have him again! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and Morton's atmosphere.

We celebrated at Morton's Steakhouse recently and had a fabulous meal. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and not too bad about pushing desserts or add-ons. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and the scallops were just right as well. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a steakhouse - dark wood, and a little noisy but nothing overwhelming.

I usually go in and sit at the bar. They have Bar Bites which are from $5-$7 and worth every penny. You can fill up on 2 items from filet portions to truffle fries to cheeseburgers (made from prime rib). Service is always outstanding! Off the full menu you will pay $50 a meal easily. Drinks are about $10 and its just like every other Morton's with the exception of the TV's which are always on the local games or a national event.

With this being my third trip to Chicago and being Wow'd previously by Michael Jordan's steakhouse twice, we were interested in trying something new. The ambiance was good and we were seated right away. Waiter took our drink order and returned promptly with bread & butter. We waited about 15 minutes for him to return to take our order. Food arrived within a reasonable time and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the filet mignon. The whipped potatoes were average. I had ordered a regular coke and was never asked if I wanted a refill. I noticed that soon after our food arrived, they stopped filling our water glasses. We decided to order the chocolate cake for desser and it was to die for....just wish we would have had some water to wash it down with.

6:00 Saturday-evening reservation made to ensure time to eat and make an 8:00 curtain at the Oriental Theater several blocks away. We were seated immediately on arriving, but our server had the bad luck to be responsible for four tables, all of which were seated within minutes of each other. A cocktail order was taken right away, promptly arrived, but the server didn't make it back to take the food order for 20 minutes. The rest of the meal ended up unnecessarily rushed. That said, we did manage to get out on time, and the food was excellently prepared : huge iceberg, blue cheese, and bacon salad (enough for two, really); lovely prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella; perfectly cooked 6oz filet mignon (one charred rare, one medium rare, both super tender and far more tasty than many a filet mignon); nicely balanced creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes, each sufficient to feed four adults with normal appetites; well-tart/sweet-balanced key lime pie, and yummy chocolate mousse. If the service had been better, it would have merited all five stars. Definitely worth a repeat visit.
