“"Small but nice"”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

I like that they have activities for children of all ages. I dislike the parking in the Chicago areas.

“Great place for little kids”
Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

We took our 2 little ones. Great time. Some of the activities here are best for children 2 and younger. Some Better for 5-8. I'd guess that over that age though might be boring. For us, it was a good 4-5 hour excursion.

“A little pricy, but lots to do for younger kids”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

More to do in this museum than the rest of Navy Pier combined for younger kids (ours 6 and 1). Tons of activities, enough for a whole day if you'd like it. Great option at Navy Pier.

“Great Family Place to go to at Navy Pier”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Great activities for children that will educate them and keep them entertained. Great for large school and church groups with 8-10 year olds.

“Thursday nights are free admission!”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Parking costs $10 in the evening at Navy Pier, but aside from that, Thursday evening from 5pm to 8pm are free at the Chicago Children's Museum.

It can get a little loud due to all of the kids having a blast, so if you have a toddler or infant, find the toddler room, it's an oasis of peace! My fifteen month old loved that it was a space he could crawl around in and explore fully, everything was safe and fun!

My older girls had fun climbing a tall and then long netted rope cage and then being architects and designing skyscrapers!

Beware - entry and exit with the elevator requires walking through a toy store!
