My sisters, mom and myself just spent a beautiful weekend at theWit in Chicago and it was positively the best experience I have ever had with a Hotel. The staff is exceptional - from the front desk to the valet to bellhops to the restaurant server - across the board the best hospitality service I have ever come across. Not only were the kind and effecient, but they were truly Nice! and friendly and went out of their way to provide a one-of-a-kind experience. The food is also excellent - we ate a delicious breakfast downstairs in State and Lake, and had an incredible Italian meal in the upstairs restaurant (I heard the Chef had just one some prestigious award for his culinary skills - and it was definitely self-evident!) Thank you Wit for a memorable weekend!

My sisters, mom and I were all wowed by theWit. It has the friendly, personal air and metropolitan classiness of the best in boutique hotels. Great downtown location, too. Our suite and adjoining room were gorgeously appointed with a sophisticated and welcoming flair. The staff, from valets and desk staff to concierge and restaurant servers were all genuinely friendly and helpful in every regard. Our late night dinner at Cibo Matto was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long while: the food was excellent, the service even better (knowledgeable, friendly and fun), and the surroundings were both comfortable and very chic. We loved the complimentary cotton candy that came with our check! The Roof lounge is a trendy spot; on weekend nights it's crowded and not easy to get in and find a table, but during the day it's a nice place to relax.

We only stayed two nights here and we wished we had stayed more. This was the best value hotel we had all trip. From the warm cookie's on arrival, which were needed given the freezing temperature outside.
We stayed in a King Spa Suite and it was great value. The room was huge, modern, comfortable and had an amazing view in three directions from Millennium Park, State St and the river.
The service we had was spot on as we had to call maintenance once and they were there is a minute. Also we would highly recommend the restaurant given the fact we were provided with a free bottle of wine for each room we had, and given we had four of us was a great night for the family. The food was amazing and though more expensive than most food places it is definitely worth it. Also the rooftop bar is a great place for a quick drink before dinner.
The hotel is also really close to everything in central Chicago from shopping, sight seeing, theatres and eating. This is the place to stay and hopefully they stay at the same price as they were in December as it was great value.

Everything about theWit is awesome. The service is INCREDIBLE. They are generous with everything from kindness to portions in the restaurants. No nickle and diming here. We had a fancy suite and it was worth every dollar. The floor to ceiling windows were perfect for viewing the snowy night. It's a hip place to be. The decor, the guests...I felt like theWit is an incredible insiders secret that I discovered. For a special night, don't go anywhere else. Jessica, at the front desk, with her professionalism and killer smile, not to mention the fresh, warm cookies was a great way to start the experience. Followed by Joel, the bellman, who knew our names and that it was our birthdays, before we even met. And the Ruf Club, Gia and Ronnie took great care of us and treated us very kindly even when we didn't feel quite like we fit at such a cool, hot club. We loved it all and can't wait to do it again. You can stay anywhere, but if you want to feel like you're staying somewhere special, this is the place.

My daughter and I traveled to Chicago for a week long stay for theatre auditions. I wanted a hotel in the theatre district for convenience, funky/cool for my daughter and comfortable for a long stay. theWit provided us will all these things and more. I usually travel with my husband so I was a little worried about the location, security etc...but we never worried about anything after we arrived. We had a king spa suite which also had a kitchenette, with a large fridge so we could stock up on a few items. The room was very large, beautiful view, 2 tv's, floor to ceiling windows, sitting area and had an "awesome" bathroom as my daughter said. All the staff was very friendly and helpful especially when we had to do some emergency printing for my daughter's resume. Housekeeping for the room was a problem the first day, but we learned to use the phone to request services instead of relying on our away time fitting the housekeeping staff. We also spent a morning in the Spa which was very relaxing.
Overall prices were not more than you would expect to pay in a major city. Only complaint (which is really more of a comment) was the bathroom sink that others mentioned in their review. Its a great sink but more about form than function, but I think that is really an issue for Kohler and an unfortunate choice for the hotel. But if this is my only "complaint" then theWit it doing very well....
