We were very pleasantly surprised by theWit. The staff were very friendly (warm chocolate chip cookies and food and drink coupons were offered on check-in) and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and modern (new, modern European style furniture and lay-out). The location is great - in the Loop near the theater district and within a block of the river and the "Miracle Mile". The room rates are very reasonable for the quality of the room (but be aware of the $50 valet parking and the ubiquitous high Chicago taxes - nearly 13%). I should note that the sliding door for the bathroom is very heavy and somewhat difficult to slide with the small finger-hole slots, so it could prove to be a problem for children, older people, and/or people with arthritis. All in all, we were very happy with our stay.

Room Tip: As with many hotels in the Loop, the "EL" runs beside the hotel, so it could be loud for rooms on lower floors on that side of the building. We were around the corner on the 16th floor, so it didn't bother us. However, if you are a light sleeper, you may want to consider asking for a room on a side facing away from the EL and/or a higher floor.

From check in to check out we were thrilled. Great location. Great staff. Great rooms. Everyone was nice. The beds were so comfy. The rooms were very modern and clean. Location was in the middle of everything. Recommend a high floor to avoid noise from the train.

Perfect stay if you want in the Loop of Chicago. Step on the Orange line at Midway airport and step off at The Wit. Modern & very stylish interior. Quiet in Private spaces and lively in public spaces. All staff was genuinely helpful and cheerful. Excellent service and food in restaurant/bar. I'll go back a third time.

Room and bath very clean with good space... It has little kitchin...Great loction every thing is near by. Lake state resrurant serve good food and it get busy during weekends...As hotel guest you have express chech in for the roof top bar which serve good cocktails...

I have been to Chicago a number of times and theWit is probably been my favorite, other than Trump. Close to the various CTA lines and the rooms are pretty spacious. Request a corner room - two sides of windows for natural light and the bathroom has a window. Bath products are from Gilcrest & Soames, which Kimpton also carries. I ask about Internet when I check in and they gave me the pass code this time, even though it was not included in my rate. If you want a room with a kitchenette, the #13 rooms from floor 15 and above or so are the ones to request. Only drawback is the Roof bar lines at night; the bar clientele is not necessarily representative of the hotel clients.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room if you want more natural light. Inquire about Internet at check-in and they may give you the passcode without charge.
