“Very convenient”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

We've stayed here before and you can't get any more convenient for flights in and out of O'Hare.
Staff was professional this stay but not overly friendly. Concierge was very helpful.

Room was fairly standard. Bathroom was super small. The door almost hits the toilet when you open it. :/ It was hard to help our kids in the bathroom after their shower or with brushing their teeth.

Overall, it was a very convenient and comfortable quick stay for an early flight out. We will be back when we fly out of O'Hare again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel the night before flying to Europe to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The initial room was uncomfortable because of the air conditioning noise, but the staff were helpful and offered us another room which was quiet and we could have a proper sleep before flying to London. The hotel is ideal for those who need to fly in the early morning and do not want to wake up too early to get to the airport. Overall the sleep quality was good and there was no plane noise even though the hotel is close to the runways. We really liked the view of the planes taking off and landing in the sunset. The breakfast was good, with a large choice and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Also good value for money.

Hilton Chicago O'Hare is more convenient than any other hotel because it's connected to the airport via underground tunnel. That said, you can find a very nice alternative at half the cost within 1-2 miles from the airport and a majority of those hotels offer a regular shuttle service. I paid $300 for one night. I stood in line with about 30 other people to check in at approximately 9pm. There were two, maybe three reservation staff working. The line moved relatively quickly and staff were friendly. I don't think the hotel offers a continental breakfast, which is another thing you can get at a nearby and less expensive hotel. The room is average. The bed was comfortable, but the room is old, although the hotel has updated furniture. The bathroom is almost identical to again, the nearby and cheaper alternatives. I'll probably stick to the Holiday Inn Express in Rosemont. You can get a nice room for just over $100 and the shuttle is complimentary. Continental breakfast there is average, but at least it's something.

Just spent the Easter break here on another plane spotting trip. To see the aircraft from the hotel you need a high room so when I booked the hotel I asked for a room high up with a view of the runways. On arrival I was told I had room 922. While checking in I asked if they BBC world news on the Tv, they didn't and was given free wi-fi for the weekend.

Checking in was nice and easy and took no more than 5 minutes. Due to it's location I guess at times the place gets manic.

On the same floor as the check in there is a sports bar serving snacks and the usual beverages. Not that cheap, but where else are you going to eat. There is also a Starbucks franchise, no cheaper than the sports bar. A can of beer was $11 here. There are free to use computers and a small souvineer shop.

On to the room. Room 922 has one king size bed, a very large Tv and a large desk area. A good thing I noted was the number of plug sockets for laptops etc. There is a coffee machine which also does hot water for tea. The view was what I desired so I was well happy. The bed linen was clean and fresh. It was one of those beds that I wish I could take home with me. The bathroom was large and the towels were again clean and fresh. It was a bath/shower. Also in the room was a mini bar, which I didn't use or look at. In the closest is a wall safe and noted a enough coat hangers for 2 people.

I wasn't disturbed by any noise either from the aircraft or from the corridor. The location of the hotel means there are people up and about at all hours

Access to the airport is easy and well sign posted in all the terminals. I arrived at terminal 5, international and was in the hotel about 40 minutes after landing in the US. Guess I was lucky.

Room Tip: For plane spotters ask for high floored room.

You won't find a more convenient hotel anywhere. You do not have to leave the airport to get to your room, and the light rail station is just down the hall. Understandably, you pay for the convenience. The hotel was nice enough and despite the airport runway location, our room was very quiet. The bedding and linens were clean and soft. As a Hilton Hhonors member, a breakfast sandwich and drink from the coffee shop were included. Everything about the stay was fine except that my electronics would not connect to the wi-fi in the room. When I called the desk, I was connected to a tech support guy located in Austin. After reading down a list of trouble-shooting steps (like turn device on, then off; move it to a different location in the room) that took about 15 minutes, he determined the problem was with some equipment at the hotel. He said he would call and have the unit restarted and everything should be fine within 1/2 hr. Unfortunately, it never did work. When I reported it again to the desk at check-out, the clerk was not at all interested. He told me to call the tech support line again to tell them it wasn't working. I was leaving and really didn't care whether it worked at that point, but I imagine the next guest will. If you just need a convenient place to stay, this hotel is fine, but if you want anyone to care that you're there, this is probably NOT the best choice.

Room Tip: If you like to watch airplanes, don't be afraid to request a room on the runway side. Noise wa...

Spent two nights at the Hilton O'Hare and it was lovely. The staff were very obliging and nothing was too much trouble. We had wait for replacement pillows as we had asked for no feather pillows, but there as a breakdown in communication and they never arrived until we had made 3 calls. The staff was so apologetic and tried to do as much for us as possible to make up for it. The location is great as the hotel connects to the subway system taking you down town ( then reconnect for uptown). Beware of the crazy subway system that uses the same name for different stations ( e.g. Two stations miles apart on the same line are called "Harlem" as with several other stations and some stations are accessed by different streets depending
M&G on the colour of the subway line) otherwise very easy to get about. We went to Lake Michigan and the Orb. The location was a dream for an early morning flight and the breakfast buffet was good too.

I flew into o'hare and went to a one day meeting at this hotel. Since it's inside terminal 2 you never have to step outside so you can leave your coat and umbrella at home. It was not exactly easy to find this hotel. There could have been more signs. My room was fine but was not vacuumed. Crumbs all over the carpet. Went to dinner at their restaurant and it seemed like an old library/saloon, complete with scantily clad barmaids. I wasn't sure what to think. Food was forgettable. Had breakfast the next morning in a different restaurant and it was equally underwhelming. There were good things though. There were a number of work stations in the lobby with a printer. Glad there was a grab n go store to pickup a beverage and snacks. Front desk staff were nice. Free wifi but only in the lobby. I hear the train is nearby. If you have more time than I did, I recommend going to Rosemont or into downtown for dinner. A pretty hotel this is not but it's fine for meetings or if your flight gets cancelled. I would definitely stay downtown if I were coming to Chicago for fun.

Room Tip: The hotel is very long. Ask for a room that is not too far from the elevator.
