My husband and I unexpectedly had to change our direct flight to LAX, to an in-direct via ORD. I'm really quite pleased we did!

After being checked in by a very pleasant and helpful member of check-in, we left our belongings in our room and took the train into the city from station at ORD, which happens to be directly under the hotel. Extremely convenient.

Having spent the evening in downtown we didn't use many of the hotel's facilties, but wouldn't hesitate in staying at this hotel again. The rooms was clean, well equiped and the location was absolutely perfect for our early morning departure the next day.

Thank you Hilton :-)

We had an early morning flight and didn't want to risk getting stuck in Chicago traffic. So we arrived the night before and stayed at the Hilton. The website indicated that they charge $16 for parking. We decided to park close to Terminal 1 since we were taking a United flight the next morning. Short term parking at O'Hare is $33/day. We chose to do airport parking so that we didn't have to deal with moving our car the next morning.

There was a line to check in, but it didn't take long. The clerk asked if we wanted to be close to the elevator. We told her to put us away from the noise. The room was nice and quiet. We didn't hear any outside noise or hallway noises. The bed was comfortable. The room temperature control was great.

The hotel has a GREAT gym! Because of our travel schedule, we couldn't use it, but you can see through the windows that they must have approx 8 elliptical machines and another 8 treadmills. And, and they have many weight machines and a nice assortment of free weights. The next time we need to stay at the O'Hare Hilton, we will arrive early and take advantage of their gym.

In the morning, we didn't have to go outside to get to the United check-in kiosk.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from elevator and away from plane/car traffic.

Stayed here 2 nights as part of a business meeting last week. Check in line was rather long, however I am Hilton Honors member which had an expedited line. Otherwise waiting on that line would have been a bummer. Check in process was ok, there was an error on the rate that they had but they addressed the problem when brought to their attention.

Room was fine though a little smaller than what I would have expected for an airport hotel (i usually expect smaller rooms in city hotel) but for 1 person it was ok. Bed was very comfortable and flat screen TV with HD channels worked well (so many places boast their flat screen tvs but then have crummy reception). Bathroom functional with good shower. I ate in sports pub one night, burger and salad were good (meat done on the rare side so take note, my medium came red and my friend's medium rare came back very rare).

Location is this hotels strongest point. Easy access to airport and easy access to the blue line. For $2.25, I was in downtown Chicago in about 35 min. I had dinner downtown on the second night and getting to/from was a breeze.

Thank you for your sharing your comments about our hotel on Trip Advisor. We're encouraged to know that you were satisfied overall with your stay. We have shared your comments regarding the meat preparation with our Executive Chef. With regards to the long line at check in, we do our best to schedule our staff according to expected occupancy. With our location directly on airport grounds, pending availability, we can get many arrivals at once from the airport if flights are cancelled, and most times, this is within short notice and can cause a temporary delay in the check-in process. We are glad, however, that you were checked in promptly at our HHonors desk.

We hope to have the pleasure of serving you again in the future.

Sincerely,

Anna Falco

A three night stay meant an almost captive stay at the Hilton, which as others have pointed out, is very convenient for the airport, just being a short walk in the bowels of the airport. The room was very comfortable, although not the largest room I have seen in a Hilton and the bathroom was pretty small too. Other than that it was well appointed with a large bed and very nice recliner. Large flat screen TV with additional inputs for a computer and large working desk. Clean and in excellent condition and well serviced every day. Surprisingly did not notice any particular aircraft noise being so close to the terminals.
The staff are excellent too and very helpful from the cleaners, front desk, and restaurants. Be warned everything in the hotel is expensive to say the least, from the soda to dinner.

Since I was arriving at O'Hare at 11pm on a Friday and was only planning to be there for a few hours, I looked for anything in the Hilton family of hotels with free transport to the hotel and at a reasonable price. Surprisingly, the airport Hilton was the best deal. It was a pretty quick walk from one terminal to the next via well lit underground walkways.

My room was on the top floor facing the front of the hotel and with a parking garage view. Not as pretty as the airport side with a city view, but maybe quieter? Not sure. In any case, it was quite quiet for an airport hotel. I don't know if there were guests in the adjacent rooms, I didn't hear anyone.

The room itself was lovely, clean and spacious. I actually regretted only having a few hours to enjoy it! Internet worked fine, bed was comfortable, bathroom was all in order and clean. Didn't use the TV.

The breakfast buffet surprised me. As diamond member, I knew I was going to get a free breakfast, but didn't expect such a nice spread. I'm sure the regular price was through the roof and I wouldn't have paid the price. But to be honest, it would have been worth the price. They had me as soon as I saw a huge bowl of fresh raspberries on the fruit part of the buffet. Amazing and I confess to having far more than my share of them. :)

The few staff members I dealt with were all very helpful, professional and friendly. I didn't have time to use the exercise room or any of the other facilities. All in all, I had a very positive experience and will keep this on the top of my list next time I need a hotel at O'Hare again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the ding-ding-ding of the elevator bells.

Stayed two nights in an allergy free room. I love those rooms with the hardwood flooring and no draperies. My nose is instantly happier in these rooms compared to standard hotel rooms. Also the fitness center is really outstanding. It is more a regular health club than a hotel fitness center. It even has a pool that is long enough to do lap swimming (15 yards). I was in Chicago over a weekend with a convention and the marathon. Hotels downtown were running over $300/night and I got the allergy free room at ORD for $150/night. This was an excellent value especially with the free wifi and breakfast that come with Hhonors Gold status. One can easily walk to the terminal to catch a cab downtown or to get a flight out of ORD.

Room Tip: If you have allergies, try reserving the allergy free room you will be happy.
