This is an older motel, built in 1959. It is right in the middle of things, It has free parking directly outside your door. It's older, well kept, and CLEAN. No frills, but definitely clean. The price is right just for a night of sleep. The beds are comfortable. The shower has great pressure and the temperature is easy to regulate. If you want coffee go to the continental breakfast and get one. Price is right, place is very clean, the location is excellent for those that need something in that area.

Positives: location, free wi-fi, clean, comfortable beds, we were given extra pillows. Negatives: Very noisy intersection, no extras, room was very warm and we didn't have any AC for the first couple days. When we called again, the cooling had been turned on but it was very loud and really didn't cool the room. We had to have the windows with no screens open. Rooms overpriced. Small, outdated TV which did not carry the channel with the Cubs game on- and they were playing in town!

I have been to Chicago three times and have always stayed here. It is right in the middle of everything, you can walk to just about everything. The rooms are simple yet well furnished and smell clean. The staff is friendly and parking convenient.

I tried out this motel after my Chicago favorite raised their prices under new owners. This place is great if you have a car (as parking is free). It's a short walk to Andersonville with its many shops and restaurants. Had a very quiet room in the corner. The window actually opened. It was quiet. Breakfast was good. Rooms were Spartan but clean. Had no issues except you are "up north" in the city. It's a short drive to Lake Shore Drive. But for the price it is great. Next time I will explore the nearby Hollywood Beach neighborhood. Will be back

Room tip: Quiet room, 2nd floor , in corner

Clean, no frills Motel with good access to all ground transportation to Wrigley Field or downtown Chicago. Bus lines is right in front of the Motel and the Train is easily walked to in Bryn Mawr or take a bus to the train which stops block away from the front door. Breakfast is basic continental with cereal, muffins and pastry. Don't expect much and you wont be disappointed. As far as there being shampoo in shower, just ask at front desk and they are happy to give you some. Beds are comfortable, air conditioning is not wispier quiet but OK . Front desk is very helpful. Good deal for reasonable basic accommodations just outside downtown Chicago.

Room tip: Be sure to ask for non-smoking and we found the rooms upstairs were quiet
