“Great location, great staff.”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

This was my first time in the city of Chicago and I traveled alone just to get out of the desert heat for a few days. I took the train from Midway to the Quincy stop and was about 2 blocks walk from this hotel. The hotel was the perfect location for me to explore all the 'touristy' things one should see while visiting this awesome city. Within walking distance to the art museum, the parks, magnificent mile, navy pier (although a little long of a walk if it's really cold), state street, willis tower and all the restaurants I needed. Speaking of restaurants you have to visit Miller's Pub and Wildberries!!! Oh, back to this hotel. The lobby is very comfortable to chat while figuring out the day ahead or checking email quickly before heading out. The staff were all very helpful and even flat out nice! I knew all their names within five minutes because they were so chatty and friendly. Even Carmen the housekeeper was all smiles when I ran into her each day. The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is that the basic room as to be the smallest US hotel room I have ever stayed in in my life. hehe. But the point of vacation is not to stay in your room, so I really don't care how small it is. However, if that matters to you, you should be warned that these rooms are really small. But clean, comfortable bedding, window with a view over the street, loved the iphone player on the nightstand and the free unlimited purified water. Oh, and I was surprised to see that there was no safe in the room. I really liked this hotel and would be happy to recommend it and will happily stay here again.

Room Tip: I was in room 509 which overlooked Adams street. not sure what the other side of the hotel has a vi...

Took a business trip to Chicago. To add a night at the hotel where the conference was cost over $300.00 a night. Found Central Loop Hotel. They advertised a small room for less than 1/3 of that. This is a beautiful old building. Right in the heart of everything. Three blocks from the museum and arts center. Three blocks the other way to the Willis Tower. The room was small, but well appointed. Everything you would need to sleep and refresh. The Staff was friendly, and accommodating. The furnishings and décor are top notch. Well worth the money spent. If I have to stay in or visit Down Town Chicago again I will definitely check here first. If you stay. don't forget to try the Elephant and Castle Pub right next door.

Room Tip: I had a room on the 6th floor with a window that faced Adams st. I don't think you can see much...

This hotel is very basic and reminds me of a business hotel you'd find in Japan (for those of you who have experienced them). The room doors are placed literally right next to each other. To the point where you may bump into your neighbor if you happen to exit your rooms at the same time. The rooms are also small, probably less than half the size of a standard American hotel room, but they definitely do what they need to in terms of accommodations (bed, tv, desk, mini fridge, microwave, shower, etc.). I don't believe the hotel even offers rooms with two beds unless you book a suite. However, if you're looking for a reasonably priced place to make base for your trip to Chicago, I'd definitely recommend the Central Loop .

For the price, you can't beat it (about $95/night during fall/winter). It's located in central downtown Chicago near many of the great attractions such as Millennium Park, Magnificent Mile shopping and great dining establishments. The rooms/facilities are clean, the staff friendly and helpful and they even offer free bottles of water you can fill yourself.

I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay in Chicago at the Central Loop!

Room Tip: Hotel only offers rooms with a double/queen beds for so those traveling with more than 2 individuals...

Nice price. Right on the loop, so cheaper than many other downtown hotels. Nice clean hotel, clean room and good staff. Only complaint was tv in awkward position, but since corner room it was different layout.

My mom and I really enjoyed our week long stay here in June 2013. The hotel room was very nice and had everything that we needed. The hotel is very well priced and within walking distance to lots of Chicago's main attractions. There is lots of nearby access to public transit so you can reach other places in the city very easily. The pub next to the restaurant is very nice and not too pricey. Decent selection of local beers. The area gets relatively quiet in the evening, so a good sleep is probable. The Starbucks nearby and several other cafes/sandwich shops near the hotel close very early and some are closed on Sundays.

This hotel is located in the Loop, Chicago's business district. Because of that, the surrounding area is very quiet at night. The hotel rooms are somewhat small, but that was not a problem for me. Free filtered water is provided and the guest services and all employees are extremely friendly. The location is great because it is within walking distance to all of the major destinations. I would stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Central Loop. Kind staff, perfect position in the Loop area. Clean and confortable it has all that one needs when travelling. A small fridge would have been useful, but fresh chilled water and ice are provided for free on each floor.
