Our stay was decent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - close to downtown and to municipal transit. We used the house valet for our car (parking). He retrieved our car several times - we didn't have to unload everything which made it convenient. That worked well since we preferred to use mass transit. Driving in the city can be unnerving. There were no meals, no breakfast or meal vouchers with the room, but a great choice of reasonably priced and upscale restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and comfortable.

This was our second stay at this hotel and it was just as good as the first. The beds in the rooms are particularly comfy and the staff are very helpful. It is also in a great location by Grant Park and is served well by the CTA transport system. It's best to pick up a weekly travel card so you can hop on and off the buses going up and down Michigan Avenue.

Recommendations for food and drinks nearby-Next door is 'Yolk' which is brilliant for breakfast/brunch. To find a decent beer just go 3 blocks south down Wabash and there exists The Wabash Tap. Lou Manaltis Pizza on 8th and State is quite awesome and there is also Buddy Guy's Legends on 8th and Wabash where you can find some great live music and decent food (though there is a cover charge)

The staff at this Best Western were great. We had a few difficulties when we got there because the room I signed up for was not available... however, the staff fixed the problem
and were very supportive. We had a good stay.

Great location--just a short walk to museums & attractions along Michigan Ave, as well as easy access to subway system. Paid around $75/night in January, which is probably one of the best deals you can get for the downtown Chicago location.
Also, the breakfast place next door, Yolk, is AWESOME!!
Cons: thin walls!! We were kept up most of Monday night by drunk kids in the next room. I guess this could happen in any hotel, but the low price may add to the likelihood of partying college students. Also, we saw an obvious sex worker in the lobby on Tuesday morning. This doesn't really matter to me, but some people might be freaked out by it.

We are glad you enjoyed our great location and amenities. We hope you will stay with us again during your next visit to Chicago. Had any mention of clientele been brought to our attention we would have addressed it to ensure that is not welcomed in our hotel.

Stayed here for four nights through New Year's Day. Pros- The hotel is very conveniently located near the red line and numerous bus stops, front desk staff is friendly, and everything was clean. Cons- a bit shabby/outdated, very thin walls, and poor insulation that allows cold air into the room as well as quite a bit of street noise. Valet parking is available, though I would recommend a lot located a short walk away on east 8th St. operated by Impark. We made a reservation on ParkWhiz and paid the same amount for our entire stay that we would have had to pay for one night of the hotel's valet parking. All in all, the hotel is a great deal for what you're paying. I would recommend it to anyone who isn't looking for an incredibly luxurious stay.

My boyfriend, his cousin, and I stayed here Dec 26-28 and got the hotel very early for a price of $75/night. We loved it - not just for the location, but for the friendly service. No, the hotel does not have "everything," but we didn't need it to. The lobby is attractive, the room was clean, the wifi worked fine, etc. I think many of the reviews on here are a little harsh, especially when talking about the decor. No, it's not fancy or even updated, but I did not feel uncomfortable. Our room was on the 8th floor facing 11th street, so we had a wonderful view of the Sears Tower from our HUGE windows.

The hotel also held the boys' bags while we finished our touring of the Art Institute. I wasn't there for it, but one employee commented on my boyfriend's soccer shoes and the two talked a little bit about the sport. The staff is definitely among some of the nicer I've encountered.

It's not a 200/night hotel, but for what we wanted it to be, it was absolutely perfect. This would probably be a great hotel for someone visiting Lollapalooza.

Room Tip: Get one facing 11th street!
