Superb boutique hotel

Review of Hotel Blake
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Oct 16, 2017
Beautiful older boutique hotel that located in Printer's Row just outside the Loop. Warm staff with a wonderful restaurant onsite and many other options nearby. Two blocks walk to the Metro and an easy walk to Grant Park and Michigan Avenue.

We were there for this weekend's annual rival NFL game..Bears vs. Vikings. This hotel was the best! Great location, a clean and VERY spacious room, and amazing service. The front desk staff and concierge were so helpful. The bathroom is superb..two sinks, a large walk-in shower, extra amenities, and the towels were so large and fresh-smelling. The bed was great! There is a wonderful breakfast cafe, that also offers room service, but is also open for drinks and other food pretty much all day. It's a great place for an enjoyable Chicago experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Hotel Blake!!!

Hotel Blake is small but with nice sized rooms and everything you could want for a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the check in was fast and professional. Timothy was fantastic and always asking us how our stay was. You don't really need a mini bar or a shop within the hotel because it is just a few short steps from convenience stores. The bathroom and showers are spacious and clean. Housekeeping on the 4th floor on our stay this marathon weekend was superb. The gym is adequate but a bit outdated. It has a multipurpose weight machine that is pretty useless. There is enough space to put in at least three low commerical machines in there and it would make a great difference. I would stay here again without hesitation. If you do I am sure you'll be very happy you did..

The location was great - access to buses and trains very easy!! Bus stop right across the street (#22) took us to many places we wanted to visit. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating - from the front desk to the bellmen to the housekeeping staff. Cafe Meli in the lobby area was lovely - particularly for breakfast/brunch.
It was comfortable, economical and convenient. Perfect trifecta!!

Great location, easy walk from train station , close to Willis tower . A HELPFUL STAFF, with good info and suggestions made for a nice stay. Kasey's Bar down the block with good beer choices, and First Draft bar a couple blocks away (numerous great drafts and good starters on the menu) also make this a solid location.

Room tip: Dearborn street side is the best
